that powdercoated one looks badass

Powdercoating was free after i sold my old valve cover. Did the polishing of the letters easily w/ a dremel. Its not custom like i said but does look really clean in the engine bay.

Step 1: print the above pic

Step 2: take to your local powdercoating place

Step 3: tell em you want yours exactly like that

Step 4: buy the plug cover and oil cap from a vendor

Step 5: install and say "hey my valve cover looks friggin tight yo"
valve cover alone how much would it cost to get done?

Just do steps 1,2,3, and 5. I'm not sure how much it would cost you, but my local shop told me 35 bucks to do medium gloss black for mine. Take em that pic and ask them.

I dunno the going rates that well. Look around because different people will do differently quality work. I'm not that much into "looks mods" but I got another valve cover for like 15 bux off of ebay and set it in so I had no down time. Then replaced it w/ mine and sold it to break even money wise. The oil cap I already had and got the SP cover since I had credit for a return at a merchant.

Mine was a chrome/silver color w/ polished letters (looks way better then w/out polished leters because the two tones)
I believe mine glass bead blasted? and a clearcoat on top was $45 total?

OOps. The picture is the same color as mine but w/out the letters polished,, Mine is the one above here in my first post

I did mine when I installed my HKS cams. Picked up some ceramic paint from the autoparts store, sandblasted the cover and heat shield and here is the final result. I like it better then stock.

is it hard to remove the valve cover. i cant just pop it off can i, isnt there oil n shit there? sorry for being such a newb but this is my first car and im 15 yrs old and this is my second post.

just pop the spark plug wires off, and remove all the bolts in the top of the valve cover. If it doesnt come right off, Just give it a tap. There is grease under it, Get it hot tanked if you can so everything will be clean under there for when you reinstall it. You dont want any metal or anything from sanding getting into the motor off the bottom!

Here's a pic of my second shaved vavlve cover I just finished, Its ready for paint but i'm trying to sell it so the buyer picks the color and I will paint it any color the buyer chooses!
(pm me if interested anyone!)
