[RESOLVED] Are 1g & 2g valve covers the same? (Yes.) [Merged 12-8]

Yep on a 1g they are the same. We got one off of my friends n/a 1g that he was parting out and it fit perfect on our 6 bolt setup.

Any cover from a 63t/61t will fit a 63t.

Thanks bro. I was going to buy a pc one but I can get that valve cover for like $5 and it's in really great shape.

Actually I don't know if this one will fit. I pulled the valve cover from the auto, LOOKS the same as what's on my car now, but on mine, there is an extra bolt by the PCV valve. On this one I pulled, there are only 3 bolts along the top. One in the middle, and one on each corner. Will this affect anything?

All 1g and 2g dsm valve covers will fit fine as well as galant vr4 and elantra covers as well. Remember not to overtighten the bolts to avoid cracking the cover.
