Carbonetics review:

Last year I ordered a piece after the announcement that they would no longer be making parts for dsms. I was hesitant to go big and order a hood and trunk after the horrible reviews, so figured I would start with something small and ordered a wing extension. After a couple of months I reached out and asked for eta, he said it would ship out by the end of the month.
Never came, I would give him a month or two and get the same reply. And after a full year of being dicked around I finally got a shipping notification. Piece did not ship out for another month after receiving tracking.
Finally piece came in, and fittment is horrible. I sent videos and pictures, he said he could fix and would send me a return label at the end of the week. Well that was a month ago, now he just ignores.

If this guy stops making parts for the dsms it would be for the best.

Honestly he's a horrible human being in general. His sycophants are all over social media though.

The only people he does actual great quality work for are big name clients(famous youtubers, famous racers, big money guys, etc) or close friends of his. Good riddance I say.

My friend orfed a dash and a hatch took 6 months. Om on the fb forums a really long discussion on this gut
I was gonna order a hood but no.

Tuning art ill check it out

Yeah, anyone should know by this point it is going to take forever if and when you get it (unless you are like cracked said some type famous/popular/money guy). I ordered a hood back in 2019, took about a year to finally get.

His socials and product are insane looking but too bad for whatever reason he does business like he does.

Seems the Tuning Art guy is the way to go for carbon parts.
Who's is this tuning art guy? I wanted a carbon airbag delete but I knew better than to order from carbonetics. I have zero social media so I'm kind of limited.

Maybe the quality control slips at times but I didn’t know this many people had issues.
There’s also no point in not trying to get it to fit better. Tape the center tight and shave what you need to from the bottom side. Work outwards from there.

Quality Control ????

Just of memory, carbon parts from this and any other supplier are guaranteed not to have proper fitment, there's a reason people with carbon parts take pictures at a certain angle .... to try and play of the fact that they don't fit.

If you look below at the similar threads and click them, whats the first thing you see?
they all have fitment issues.

I cannot find a thread here with overwhelming praise for solid fitment.
OP its unfortunate.
thank you for sheading light.

I have bought A LOT of stuff from Carbonetics since their inception. Now I have not bought anything since like 17, but everything I have ever got from them was awesome and fit just fine. It always took 6 months to get a part, I learned that after the 1st part I bought and just accepted that as a fact.

I am a little confused, so are they done or not making parts?

They are still making parts as I know didn't say he wasn't. Buddy got parts just this summer from him. I assumed you pay he will make but itd a waiting game. If i got a hood im going with vis carbon for one. But that's the only carbon could justify spending that cash for.

He must get low on paper, and then announces he's done with a platform to drum up some quick cash. Seems like that's the chatter every year. Everyone likes to piss and moan about the guy, but the solution is simple. Either deal with it, or buy some materials and do it. I wasn't about to deal with all that and over pay for an overweight part, so I bout some stuff from US Composites maybe and made a hood. First one came out good. It's really not hard at all.

On instagram @tuningartofficial Simone Trippini. He makes everything. And it all looks 100% perfect.

That’s my point. Everyone can complain all they want but it’s already purchased. Might as well try and make it work.
Quality control as far as it should have been soft mounted to check fitment and if not made rig he before leaving the door. It’s also never been in the U.S. and we know how that goes with labor.

Its not that it doesn’t fit perfect, it doesn’t fit at all. Its only going to be held on by double sided tape, so the huge gaps are going to keep that from happening. Its just going to catch dirt and water until it falls off.

Super excited to see that dipshit finally done with DSMs. I wonder if we can get Luda to nix his account while we're here bitchin about it. The fact people continued to buy from the guy while there's an infinite breadcrumb trail of poor fitment, poor communication, absurd lead times (UNLESS YOU HAVE A SPONSORED TRACK CAR), etc......is insane.

thank you for sheading light. WinCraft online kazino
There’s a difference between “needs some massaging” and “doesn’t fit at all.” Minor trimming is one thing, but huge gaps on a tape-mounted piece is just unacceptable.

Has anyone ordered from the site
Special-carbonfiber.com ?
I've been wanting to get carbon parts forever but due to all of the horror stories from Carbonetics, I backed off of them.

They've been around for a long time and are reputable.

My experience with Carbonetics has been so so, first thing was the 2g sunroof plug, received it after about 6 months, fitment was horrid but I made it work.

Second order was a nearly $5000 order I placed with 3 friends here in Canada to combine shipping. Again about 6 month wait time, it arrived and the one thing that was missing was the sole part that I ordered for myself. Contacted Sergio, he apparently put it in the wrong crate. He made another one which took another month or so before it arrived.

I sent him a message last fall to inquire about some more stuff, never got a reply. I'll take my business elsewhere.

I've recently seen people who have placed orders lately being told 12-24 month waiting period.

I get the impression that he is essentially a fan boy, he seems to give free parts to the well known cars at the expense of the everyday weekend racer, its easy to give away parts when someone else is paying for them I suppose. I see no reason to block him from the site as someone suggested, he doesn't seem to be active on here much these days, likely because he has burnt too many bridges over here and the members are wise to him, just vote with your dollars, give the business to the sellers that are delivering on their word and are accessible through the normal channels, I would encourage those other sellers to become active on this site if you guys are doing business with them and it is good business and stays good, ask them to become a member here, it makes it less likely that they will become shady and it might get new products made for the Dsm market if they see what we want to have made.

Been dealing with Carbonetics for a hood I purchased in July of 2024. Emails are never responded to when I send them. The only way I've been able to get in contact was through Instagram DM. He told me he was working on my hood and was shipping it out soon. This was back in June of 2025 and I have yet to receive a hood.

12-24 months! Just shut it down at that point.
