Whoa, a bit harsh don't you think? I know an answer was provided but it seemed to be a bit more work to vent frustration. It is a newbie forum after all. I would just avoid responding if the response isn't 100% positive.

Recently, we've found that more users are getting into the bad habit of replying to threads in this forum with unhelpful replies, telling users to "use the search" and posting cute little graphics with that same message. This not only goes against the spirit of our site and violates our rules, but it goes against the spirit of the Newbie forum. If you're tired of seeing repetitive questions, you probably shouldn't be spending too much time in the Newbie forum, where repetitive questions are almost certain to be posted. Do not post unhelpful replies to repetitive questions or you'll risk losing your posting privileges.

If you get DSMLink you cannot just vent your bov without using a GM MAF type setup/Speed density.

If you want just 300hp then forget the meth injection, that's pretty much overkill. You can use stock injectors but I would probably go a little higher. I personally use 650cc FICs.

Also if you want to use the stock fpr you can get a 190 Walbro, that would be fine for your goals and does not call for an afpr. That will save you money.

EDIT: Also is your car auto or 5 speed? If it's a 5 speed then keep your stock turbo. You don't even really need a front mount for your setup.

my car is a 5speed and i was thinking of running the meth if it will help me make better numbers i was think of running it on my link v3 full on one map for track then having a separate map for daily use without methanol im kind of partial to it i ran it on my supercharged honda and really liked it but the 14b will make enough power to meet my goals then ill stick with it for now also should i just leave the stock side mount alone or get a hard pipe kit for it thanks for the help

I hear the stock side mount is good up to 400hp, if you get hard piping and a cold air intake your bov will be much more noticeable. Not too sure about the 1Gs but my 2G IC "pipes" (if thats what you want to call them!) were super corroded and leaking everywhere.

Like I said, meth is overkill for your 300hp goal. You CAN get it, but if you want bigger numbers I would just get bigger injectors, walbro 255, afpr and tune for e85. If you want it strictly for the track then heck why not. I have never had experience with it so I would be a bad one to ask.

Your 14b will be fine, I have no idea what a safe boost level is for the stock studs so I would highly suggest getting ARP head studs!

ok so i have found a gm maf with a maft for 80 dollars used should i go this route or speed density or should i just stick with my 1g maf since im going to be running dsm link would either of these benefit me thanks

Speed density is easier to deal with since the MAf can be finicky. However, you can stick with the 3" MAF, you just have to spend time in Link to calibrate it. Also wih V3, you don't need a translator. You can buy the cable from Ecutuning and use Link to rather than the translator to dial it in.

ok so i have decided to go with the sd setup due tho the fact that the gm mas goes to crap when it gets sprayed with water meth and i want to run meth eventually thanks again for all of ## help

If its been covered a billion times then you should know its not advised to stick to stock injectors on a 16g...

Anyways just for an example Im doing something very similar to your plans right now. Here is a list of mods I got to reach about 300hp
evo III 16g turbo
550cc Injectors
255lph walbro fuel pump
Fmic (Ive heard it a good idea to switch from smic)
Safc II (for tuning on a budget, DSMlink will work much better/easier)
boost controller
boost gauge
Wideband (to help tune with my safc)

As burrowZ said meth might be overkill if your goal is 300 - 350hp.
