Simply awesome. I heard Atco? Atco and englishman are my tracks I go to. I have a 95 awd auto that I'm building but need insight for auto performance parts.

Chris, are you planning to hit Atco tomorrow or is this rain bs gonna keep up? I heard the heat wave will be gone but haven't actually looked at the weather LOL.

I'd be able to get the cash for the turbine housing to you then as well :)

I guess it's time to get this pig ready for the Shootout. After 2 months of sitting under a cover the car saw light of day today. Taking it out to the dyno tomorrow for some slight changes for the switch to E98 and hopefully hitting the track Tuesday night if all goes well. *cross fingers*

Also forgot to mention this beauty showed up on my doorstep! Thanks to Andrew at Frontline Fab!

I was hoping to be at the shootout myself this year but lost motivation on the Talon for awhile good luck Chris! :hellyeah:

Just got home from the dyno. On 36 psi, the car made 725whp/460tq. Had to end the session early...looks like the pump may be sucking more than the sump is flowing or my regulator ate shit. ...and I magically have an oil leak around the front case. Fun.

It's a possibility, but hopefully not the case. I probably have under 100 miles between dyno and track pulls on the case...hoping it's just something loose, but we'll see when I dig into it.

I know about Vassil's car. It's hard to compare those numbers to anything since they were on a different brand dyno and were "DJ estimates". I'm on a Hughes restall though. The car has a lot left in it though as we cut the session short at 36psi. I'm sure it'll go north of 800 once we turn the boost up some more.

Yep, that they do. Good news...oil leak was just a leak at the pan gasket. But I found this when I spun the oil pump...unrelated. FML Looks like we may have starved the pump of oil...cavitation during launch or high revs. Still need to pull the bearing caps to see how far the damage goes but at the very least I need to throw in a new front case and gears as well as new bearings. Hoping the rods/crank are unharmed. No clue how long this has been going on and if it werent' for the leak it would have gone unnoticed for a bit longer.

Ugh, sorry man.

Those DJ estimates usually pan out pretty damn close with a couple of local DJ dynos.

That blows. Mine is almost back on the road but because I spun a rod bearing. Every rod and main bearing looked just like yours too. After I pulled everything apart, I figure it was from launching too hard as well. I know the timing belt was set to the proper tension.

Definitely wasn't. Was still able to get the pin into the hydraulic tensioner when I took it apart. 99% sure it was due to cavitation. I'm pretty anal when it comes to setting my timing tension.
