Congrats! 10.1 is really gettin down there. Congrats on the wins at the event too, but, I must say, I'm sick of seeing that Supra beat Jeff's talon!:D

The real question is... how do you get it to hold 30lbs to the redline... There are a lot of little things to make it do that, but I suppose porting has a lot to do with it.
I bet your are logging 50+lbs/min on that 68hta.

Gotta start a "how long till it grenades" thread on the trans now!

Amazing stuff! :hellyeah::hellyeah:

If you read his threads he explains how he does it... :aha:

I guess I have to agree with that one. I'm gonna go after his lil ass this weekend. Gonna be a good show if everything works out as planned. The Supra is going down!!!!!!!!ROFL

The trans has been quite amazing i think with our new vb. Mods in our newer trans there is another tenth or so and we should have another 100lbs out by next year so i think a 9.9 will happen some day.

These auto dsm really make 5spd cars seem like a joke. I can go to most bracket events and truly be a contender.

With the advancements you guys have made with the 16g turbos on the autos, I figure you all are the right ones to ask. I know with the FP 16g you recommend a 40-60 to stall the stock converter on a 2.0L. With the amount of air the FP68 flows over the E316g, would you recommend nitrous to stall the stock converter or in your opinion, could you stall it soley on the turbo? I dont know if you had any real world experience I may have looked over with this where you have already said "yes" or "no", and if I did, I apologize :)

**EDIT** Disregard. After some more searching (I know...this should be done first) I found some who were claiming upwards of 20 psi at or around 3200 rpms, which is as fast or faster than the evo3. I'd assume you'd need a stroker or nitrous to stall either of these properly, correct?

I just want to say big respect to you Lucas and your crew, I love shops that innovate or at least show us the things they have been working on.

To me a real shop is a place that creates something and you guys have done that, hence the crazy surge in Autos (and everyone thinking its crazy easy to go fast) and maybe the sales of the 68hta.

the porting is one of the keys. I also shift at around 6500rpm and the turbo never drops boost so that also helps keep it up VS a 5spd. I have found that 33psi spike dropping 28psi is the fastest the turbo will run on this combo. I can get a 41psi spike and hold 33 but it goes no faster when I push it that hard.

That's definitely interesting. Wow, spike to 41...jeez. So, what's next then? What do you think it will take to hit 9's?

More weight out and a 1.3 60ft which it will do. There is just risk of taking a few Cases and axles out trying that hard and until I get all the small weight mods done I dont want to try that hard.

What is the best 60' so far? Cool, so there's more weight that can come out, I'm all about that. Well, will be nice to see what comes of it.

Or just squeeeeze it a little on the big end... :D

I'd like to see him hit 9's before it comes to this....

Or squeeeze it A LOT the whole way. :thumb:

...and this should net mid 9's:thumb:

I agree with the mid 9:thumb: There's no sense in putting on a nitrous kit and taking all the flack on the internet from the anti-bottle camp to only use it a little bit just to squeeek out 2 tenths for a 9.9xx. Might as well use the full potential and spray a 100+hp up to the capability of the kit (the limit is more about the intake manifold's ability to distribute than any limitation of the nitrous kit).

IMHO it seems that the ER car in question is a somewhat delicate combo of converter/tune/spool and that the options for making more power are slim without disrupting the equalibium of the setup with respect to the stock converter. Nitrous would be an awesome addition that is very flexible in application with DSMlink controls.

1.44 is its best 60ft so far. Half radiator, more metal out of the front, alum IC piping, Completely remove rear breaks rotors lines. Since Ctr diff is welded it will transfer front stopping power to the rear. I feel since the car is so light that it wont be much different then a full weight 1g and 4 breaks.

I would like to see if I could get a 3052 to spool with out N20. Have no interest at all in running N20 all the way down.

Can you share some current under-hood photos of your car ?

Well I have been so busy I have not had time to get the slips up.

Here are 2 1/4 mi slips from that night with the 10.1 and a 1/8mi one from a few days later. The 1/8mi track was my best 60ft ever.

Did have my 1st carnage in some time. The Stock flex plate broke into peaces. So we are doing a new trans and a few more weight mods will see if I can get any faster this weekend.

After this FP has a new turbo for me to try out :)

Also the under hood had no changed much at all since the new build.

1st off congrats...thats insane for a small frame turbo

2nd give me a call in about 2 weeks...transfer cases will be in :thumb:

wow, I just can't get over how quick this car runs 60', 330', and 1/8mile ETs. It's just crazy. If there is any car that makes the case for automatic trans, even on "mild" power levels, this is it. We are going about the same mph (105/131) but you guys are killing me by over a half second of ET! Every time there is an improvement or update on this car, my auto-envy increases another notch.

Sucks on the flexplate failure...did it take out "everything" with it? Were you running one single flexplate or stacking two stockers double thick?

What's the plan for changes/upgrades to the new trans setup?
