woops.... I thought the lettering would give it away and being that this site will not let me upload pictures off my phone unless i pay for a app. I will try and get one soon.

I was just making sure, my friend sold me this 1g with a 2nd gen turbo as a upgrade. He did not know anything about it and neither did i at the time.

Vacuum line capped off? Is that good or bad?

depends, if you have a nipple coming off if your intercooler pipe for your wastegate it'd be fine, otherwise you need a way to connect a boost source to your wastegate, and that would be what the screw is plugging up.

no. It didnt have that, all these parts are currently sitting in my trunk. ( see Avatar ) And the stock boost gauge was showing 14PSI but we all know how reliable that thing is...

THANKS!

Can anyone tell me more about a turbo I just pulled off my car....specs are as follows..

inducer is 60mm
exducer is 76mm
exhaust side...have not measured it yet...sorry :(

characteristics...spools 18 psi @ 4500 or so on a 2.4L engine
puts down 305 awhp @ 5500 and 309 awtq @ 4500 with v 1.3 maft with 3 inch maf
560 injectors.

gave power to help slightly with figuring out turbo. I have read that it may be a t04 but not the e cause it is 54x76 and not 60x76. The exhaust housing is from an ???SC61 turbo??? and the compressor housing has 60-1 stamped on it. The compressor outlet is 2" and the inlet is the same as the minor at 60mm, basically.

any and all information on this 'hybrid' would be beneficial...thinking of putting it on my talon as the laser just got a green....
thanks for any more information such as flow rate and what have you....

i know somebody recently had a post about this turbo. im just wondering how good it is an what its worth because im trying to sell it.

mine is a 60 trim

Some XS Power knockoff junk. Someone sent me one of these about two or three years ago to rebuild for them, and you literally cannot buy the parts for it. It's a throwaway turbo that probably cost $150 new....used price, $50.

I remembered more about this unit now- the cover tag refers to the turbo as being a T04E or something but the center housing and parts design mimic that of a KKK K27; trouble was the thrust plate design was different than the actual K27 parts. The thrust plate had tabs on it much like a Garrett GT32 thrust plate, and the K27 thrust plate is a half-moon shape.

Just wasn't worth the price of the parts or the research needed to find them at that point.

Not bad if you like 2000-2200rpms of usable power before you have to shift. LOL

It's neither a T04E60 or a T04B 60-1. It's a GT35R compressor that is grossly oversized for the turbine wheel and housing combo on that particular turbo.

It would be better if it didn't have the bolt-on turbine housing.

Most powerful GT35R setups use a .82 a/r T3-flanged Garrett turbine housing. You can't expect the same results as an actual 35R user if you're using a much more restrictive turbine housing.

do you know what this is?
guy says its a fp red
but i see a turbonetics sign on it?
he said it has a chipped wheel and hes taking it into a shop to get a new wheel put on it and it balanced

FP DSM Red with a rare 8cm turbine housing and a wrecked-ass compressor wheel.

He can count on spending $200-$250 on compressor replacement alone, and that doesn't include any of the rebuild parts/labor if needed...only the cost of a new 60-1 compressor, necessary machining to get it to fit a Mitsu turbo, and an assembly balance.

damn your good 1 more LOL

anybody??? i added a few more questions since my last post. see below

what is the oil return drain size (see below link) or the t3/t4 size. bolt to bolt think it measured 2.5" the cut tube left on it measure 3/4'

its not really a dd (baby seats in most our cars), but i will eventually take it to work every now and then and the occasional street and strip nite we attend.
major diff. of the 60 60-1??
early 03-04?? good or bad?? it has no shaft play
turbonetics? heard kinetic or something of that nature too.

turbo lag on built 2.0

oh yeah one more thing
do i need to upgrade the wastgate currenty a 38mm on 17lb. spring
and my blow off valve greddy rs knock off.

if so what should i be looking to get??
