The blue Laser looks sick!
Went to the local 1/8th of a mile track yesterday trying out the clutch i just put in last weekend and it did really good. I ran my best so far an 8.3 @89mph with a 2.0 60 ft. I was on 24lbs of boost. I'm running hoosier QTP's and still not able to get under 2.0 60ft. does anyone have anytips to get under that? I was launching at 4750. We tried tire pressure at 13 and 10psi. Both got me a 2.0.
Im going to be going back to the track this coming thursday hopefully with some tips to get a little faster. Let me know if you guys have any tips.
Thanks

I saw this run, that was my buddy's EVO 9 in the far lane that I helped tune. Car sounded mean as shit man and moved out well. To me it sounds like you should try and slip the clutch a little more out of the hole. I'm usually at Irwindale with my car every thursday (if it's not broken) hit me up next time.
.^^^that depends on the gear and turbo. If it's lag, then no wonder. My Evo on the 6262 in 5th gear would have probably taken me longer then that.
The rims are close to stock they are 16"x7" with a bit more offset. I got them from my friend with the gsx. The slicks are Hoosier gtp 26x9.5x16, same as richard33 uses. They really fit on the car well, even with the car lowered although I did raise the front 1\4" just to be on the safe side. I am not using tubes. Will make my first pass on them this coming friday.
... well never used mine i had them ready in the setrunk but never got the chance now my awd is ready so no use now maybe nathan will use them for a run or two so i can check them out

. Ya I thought I'd start the pressure at around 16psi then go down from there. I know you said you run them at 10psi, but I'm deffinetly not making the power you are yet. So they are giving us Friday to test and tune and then we have the whole weekend to race. I'll let you all know but last year espn came out and broadcast the races. Would be sick if they came out again this year. It's a pretty big deal for Hawaii, guys even come from other islands to race on our track. You guys might get to see two Hawaii Dsm's race
. Anyway I'll post some vid's of my best runs. I'll let you know if espn comes out and when the races will show on espn.
. This was with a 2.0 60ft. I still haven't been able to bring down the 60ft. I feel like its my suspension I feel a lot of squatting. The car was very consistent. I ran a total of 4 runs 3 of them were 12.7, and one was a 13 because the vacuum line to the FPR came off. What rpm are you launching at and what is your tire pressure set at? Do you drop the clutch or ride it out a little bit? And do you preload using the e-brake or just take off? If you ran a 12.7 on a 2.0 60', a low 1.8 60' should get you down into the 12.3-12.4 second territory.
For the squatting issue, you can buy spring limiters that will help with the squatting. They basically just fit beween two coils on your springs and keep them from squatting, so you only get partial squatting from the other coils...or your could get the KYB AGX shocks (not sure what you have). Those with some stiff springs and the shocks set on full stiff would work great as well.
