Make sure you have new stiffer motor mounts and suspension mounts, along with some good shocks and springs up front.
After that, just learn how to drive.
I use those tires too and love them (check my profile for size). On street tires, my best 60' was 2.2x, and dropped instantly to 1.8x with just the slicks. They take some getting used to when you first get them, but they hook. No more feathering through the first 2 gears, just grab 'n' go!
