I have a slip here for a 13.21 @ 103.

All my mods are listed in my profile. I really want to know if anyone is getting anywhere near maximum potential out of their T28 style turbo. It need not be a certain brand/builder T28...ALL T28 styles welcome.

I looked at the 1/4 mile list and only 1 T28 is listed in the 12's. So lets see where all of the T28 owners stack up.

I would also like to hear, mods, or tuning that got you to where you are, and what was most beneficial along the way.

I ran a 13.656 without my FMIC and my boost creeping all over the place. I had it set for 16psi and it would creep to 20+ by 7K. I haven't had a chance to tune it after I got my FMIC, SBR Exhaust Mani, and Evo III O2 housing in, but it feels a ton stronger. I should be at the track here in a couple of weeks and will post my time if i remember to. Also check out www.dsmtimes.org, there are quite a few in the 12s.
 
I checked on DSMTIMES.org and there is still only handful of 12 second T28 cars.
I guess I am wishful thinking...that the Big28 is as good as it is.

I KNOW my car has more in it than a 13.2, I was just hoping everyone could reassure me. My A$$ has been stuck in Nuetral...and it still needs a good clutch, FMIC, and some datalogging.

Guess I need to get that A$$ in gear and represent.

Anyone have a Big28, SMIC and a faster 1/4 than my 13.2 @ 103???

I don't think there are that many great times on the t28 because it seems to be a turbo you can pretty much run on a completely stock car; this is my impression
"Blown t25 , ok Cool now lets upgrade to t28"

That's just my opinion.
 
Whats up with your 13.1 @ 104?

When I think of a T3/T4 I definetly don't think 13's. You have a ton of mods and your closer to sea level then me. I am on a stock SMIC, and you have a Front Mount.

Boost leak? I saw in your mod list that you have a ACT 2600 and a lightened flywheel, so you must have a 5 spd.

Something isn't adding up to me. Is your car tuned? Did you let off half track :confused: ?

T28s are NOT just replacement turbo's :| . Just because a 16G looks exactly like a 14B doesn't mean its a stock replacement.

When someone smokes your GSX I hope they tell you, they just have a Stock T25!!! :laugh:

Ohhh yeah...my exhaust is crush bent too.

Man he was only running 15lbs...I'd like to see a T-28 car go that fast at 15lbs.....give him a break.

What he meant to say was that most people with T-28's don't have all the other supporting mods (much like yourself) and therefore cannot get the most potential out of the turbo.

IF u look on the times page here V8slyr ran a 12.8 on 17psi on stock injetors! I was there and he lives down the street from me.
 
Whoa whoa there buddy, That comment I made was completely my opinion and I had no intention of putting your turbo down. I was meirly stating that I tend to believe most people with T28's are more on the stock side. No need for bashing please. I never said one thing bad about your car and I don't think I deserved that. I also didn't mean to hijack your thread at all.

By the way I personally think 13.1 is good for my first time out on pump gas :thumb:

hey man whats up with your cousin aj, he never called me back about my car i thought he wanted it? anyways what track did you guys run at? me and a buddy with a big16g powered talon want to run a track and dont know which one to go to?
 
I've run a 9.0 @ 81 in the 1/8th with my Ported B28. 16psi/stock fuel/mods in profile. 2.1 60ft. I hate that spikey nature (flapper blow open) of the T25 style actuator they put on it.. I'm getting the FP 17psi actuator as this turbo really wakes up over 18 psi.

Not sure what that equates to in the 1/4 but i'm hoping for low to mid 13's, even break into 12's (my end goal on street tires) once I throw some more Fuel at her and turn up the boost. It should take me there no problem. It has proven its wares to me over the last 1.5 years as a very capable turbo and since I AUtoX alot as well, its the perfect mIX of spool and top end. I love hitting full boost @ 3100rpm. however that feature complicates traction. Great for burnouts and blowing off on Ricers at the drop of a hat.. bad for corner exit. Nothing an LSD can't take care of.
