In his build I don't see any pictures of a roll bar, nor any mention of one. Correct me if im wrong, but I thought you needed a bar in a convertible if running faster than 13.49. :confused:

I am pretty sure it is an eBay one, failure goes to me on that one though. Keep in mind the person whose turbo that is, is not MARTINI, it is a separate kid who has done nothing stupid, so don't bash that person. He couldn't get the O2 housing or turbo manifold to bolt down so I went to help him, turns out he tightened down two bolts fully before getting the others started on both manifold and O2 housing, so I simply showed him that if he backed out the tightened bolts a little he could shift the manifold and housing enough to line up and start the other bolts. In my actual desire to help someone, I forgot to look at the compressor housing and fins, LOL. However, that wastegate rod isn't actually straight, it angles just like the one on my authentic MHI.

You're correct sir.

Our home track is New England Dragway, which is NHRA, and tech there is somewhat strict. You run low 13s in a vert without a bar and you're out, no question about it.

With the hardtops they'll give you a little bit of leeway, but not much. If you're consistently running 11.49 or better, you've got to meet spec. One pass here and there under 11.5 and they'll usually look the other way. A high 10s pass and you're def getting tossed.
 
Rhode Island has a pretty piss poor DSM scene as is. I just got sick of this guy in particular because he has been this arrogant know-nothing that claims to be a "DSM expert" since when I tried to get RIDSM going and this was the last straw.

I decided to just stick with NEDSM as their requirements to keep an account scare away most clowns like this and is full of people with real knowledge. I feel so miniscule their, definitely the low end of the knowledge pole, for the record Matt is on NEDSM too, and he knows his crap.

Do you think your car will be ready by April? Even if not i think they're still planning the 16G shootout for opening day (April 1) so you should make the trip up to the track.

I'll be there, probably toasting my clutch. With a little luck they'll kick me out before the clutch goes. :cool:

I am going to show up to the track in April with her, ready to roll or not. I have some big ticket items left to buy that will make it tight, but I am hoping for the best. My biggest concerns right now are the intercooler and the cams and injectors which will put me back $1100.00.

yeah definitely threw me off. ha. but that guy is a tool. what a loser. his spyder is ridiculous. no way is it as fast as he claims. if the bug got beat by a t28 fuel cutting gst, not was is it that fast as he claims. funny story.

I forgot the stupid reason he claimed the bumper was hanging wrong..wait no I didn't, oh yeah, because it's a crappy Megan exhaust...I have a Megan on my GST doesn't hang like that.
