Appears that someone has used a compressor wheel similar to a 12A in your 14B. Not sure if peak efficiency would be the best, but it should flow a good bit of air at lower boost levels....that's generally what makes turbos featuring 8 major compressor blades famous.
 
Alright so would you recommend putting this turbo on my car i currently got a 14b on 20 psi, but since you say this turbo is only good at low boost levels. Im not sure if it'll benefit me.

The only reason I was trying to change the turbo was because the exhaust housing on my old one is really cracked. Causing me not to spool up till 4000+ rpm.
 
A true Garrett for that price would throw a red flag saying something is wrong with it. What does T3/T4 mean?? Find out what turbo it actually is, T3/T4 isn't a good enough description really.
 
For us to help you pick a good turbo for a good price, we need to know what you plan on doing with it. What power level are you looking for? Street turbo, daily driven or track monster on a trailer? Auto-cross or drag? What supporting fuel modifications do you have? What do you plan on tuning with?

As mentioned, T3/T4 turbo could mean anything. And for $100, I'd be surprised if it lasted more than a month.
 
well i was looking a craigslist and found some items that might help other people, im more into the buy and sell game, I am not turbo savvy and i was just seeing what kind of response i would get from it. For me just getting the Knock out under boost would make my year. Thank you all for trying to help i greatly appreciate it.
 
Yup that's a 13c. I wouldve left it, it's crap. 14b, t3/t4 or 16g r much much better
take a different route
 
Hey everyone I was wondering if anyone had any idea as to what kind of turbo would be on a fedex truck its obviously a cummins diesel motor, and im assuming its a holset but not positive, and i really dont want to take it off just to find out what it is but i will if need be. Im just curious if anyone has at least an idea as to what kind of turbo it is and if its worth taking off or not. The turbo itself looks to be in good shape though.

I will post pics if need be.

Yea I kind of figured, I am going to get the pics up tommorrow, Have to cut the exhaust manifold off since where its located at is ridiculous to take off and I cant get to where the bolts are for the flange is.

But in the mean time I will be posting up pics tonight of a different turbo that I pulled off of a different fedex truck today at work had 3 trucks lying around but one already had the turbo gone so its already chopped up LOL. But the turbo as of now that I know of so far is a Garrett 1.00 a/r with the round flange on it. I will post pics later tonight.

Well it's not a holset, you can tell that by it saying garrett on the compressor and turbine housings. With that turbine housing, it certainly won't bolt on to a DSM without some work.

Garrett GTP38 with some goofy v-band turbine housing outlet. I'm guessing the "Cummins" in your FedEx truck is actually an International V8 diesel.

Here's the GTP38 that belongs on a 7.3 Powerstroke:

Good luck getting that thing to fit anything other than what it was designed for use on.

I know its not a holset LOL if you read my last post it says I got another one off of a different truck, and that i know its a garrett LOL but other then that idk much about this one LOL.

Yes it was on a international LOL the other one im still attempting to take off is on a cummins block i know the model of the truck is a L7000 LOL I was to busy to attempt to take the other turbo off today LOL.

But thank you I appreciate it at least I know what it is now. Now just to figure out what to do with it LOL
