Do yourself a favor an replace the old metal ISC before a coil shorts and damaged the driver. It's cheap insurance.

Which switch Steve? I'm still learning the DSM acronyms... Is it Idle Speed Control or Idle Stop Control?Do yourself a favor an replace the old metal ISC before a coil shorts and damaged the driver. It's cheap insurance.
I don't know for sure other than they are quite different and the newer black plastic ones don't seem to suffer for the same problems. I've taken several of the metal ones apart and found some with water inside so the seals seem to fail and the internal coils short so there is a defect with them.Steve, what is different in the newer version that prevents them from shorting out?
As much as I know, one of big differences is, the new black plastic ISC has higher resistance. The old tan ISC has approxi 30 ohms as we know according to the FSM, but the new black ISC has actually approxi 40 ohms. I think that is an intension of preventing a heat damage or some issue that is related to that.Steve, what is different in the newer version that prevents them from shorting out?
Did you get the longer bolts it requires I got One as well brand new in the box with longer ARP boltsTest fit some new to me side skirts. Old school Extreme Dimensions they’re super straight and sturdy. I feel like the twisties are lacking now that I have the 2gb front on. They just need a little love and paint

And threw a fluidampr on mine. Highly recommend it to anyone it made a night and day difference on my car. Engine used to lug a bit from 2-4k and on/off throttle. Both are pretty much gone and I don’t feel the motor chop as much from the interior even tho I can still hear it chopping from the exhaust. Shouldn’t have waited so long to get one

Measure the thickness of your hub. If it’s about 10mm you don’t need the longer bolts and if it’s around 17mm then you do.Did you get the longer bolts it requires I got One as well brand new in the box with longer ARP bolts

Needed a grounding block for my new 16v battery, was going to order one on Amazon to get it by Friday but ended up just making my own.
Because I won't be running an alternator at all, it's a racecar, the 16v battery will keep enough voltage for a couple passes usually.Sorry to double reply on ya, I am working my way up on the thread. Why not go 16v alternator and 14v battery?
Fabrication is always way cooler than Amazon.Needed a grounding block for my new 16v battery, was going to order one on Amazon to get it by Friday but ended up just making my own.
I'm not going to do a write up as it wasn't my idea, I took an existing project and added my own flare to it.Fabrication is always way cooler than Amazon.
What's involved in your DIY scales? Plan to do a write up on them?
