Hey guys,

I have a 1990 eagle talon 4G63 TSi AWD W5M33 turbo standard with TD05H A3 4G turbo(49178-01 41 0 on the compressor 12 blades, housing and 78-11020 on the turbine housing.

I just pulled the turbo today, went good but found a stress fracture on the exhaust manifold and the turbine housing. Need to replace them and the exhaust.

1. What's a good turbo combo that will work well for me? And where can I get it?

What I'm planning-

I'm rebuilding the hole car, engine, W5M33 trans, and fuel system, so the sky is the limit. Just kinda seeing what I got and designing right now.

Going to have 1000 cc injectors, 455 LPH pump, bigger intercooler, BOV, dual honey comb valve springs, boost controller, stage 3 evo trans upgrades, LSD rear, LSD front, welded centre diff... So I'm aiming for a street car, crank the boost up and can handle it's own on the strip, a solid 500 HP+

So this is what I need help with,

I need a exhaust manifold that will match up to a new turbine housing, and turbine wheel which will run a 25G 3" inlet compressor wheel.

For the turbine housing and wheel can I just phone up Mitsubishi and get a new one, think it's a little old for them to still be stocking it. Or order up some EVO 5 or newer turbo turbine wheel (titanium) that will fit in my TD05H, since I have to get a new turbine housing anyway.

I was doing some research and seen that the Lancer Evo 1 TD05H (Inducer = 48.3, Exducer = 68mm, nozzle cm2 = 7) but want to use a titanium turbine wheel form the EVO 5 TD05HRA from the RS, has the same size inducer 48.3 and Exducer 68mm but nad a nozzle cm2 = 10.5,

2. Would that work? Can I make that work with a new turbine housing, or is the shaft different?

3. Basically I need info and help with, want a titanium turbine from EVO or other? turbine housing, stock or other? with straight line or similar exhaust manifold and a 3" stainless exhaust piping. I haven't bought any of these items yet so all option are open.

There is no way I'm just putting the stock back in, it broke for a reason, want 500 hp +, any ideas or contacts are much appreciated, thanks, will open it up tomorrow to measure the wheels, housings and shaft.

Almost forgot, what the heck do I have here 16G?
:hellyeah:

I think this guy is armageddon or the other troll profile on here with a new account. They talk the exact same. And troll like a fisherman.

Pathetic honestly...... I feel bad for op the mods let this go on long enough. But i guess his stupidity broadcasted over the interwebz is punishment enough.

+1 for the guy that said PTE6266 with stock injectors, SAFC and a narrowband o2 :thumb: youll be at 9's before you know it.

I'm in toronto area if
You wanna make it over here to run me at the track next spring? I have a oem stock turbo also. It's called a holset ;) i run 14's at 150mph for the na sayers

By the way the other rear didf thread you had didn't get deleted cause you found your answer. Threads arent deleted unless your a total forum rule breaking toolbag. Otherwise dsmtuners owns every word you write and every picture you post.

We own you bi*** LOL

Mmmmm coffee.

Troll. Same baffling thread as the rear diff custom "sss". TROLL. Banhammer, coming your way before long.

In for lulz before another semi-literate kiddo with big dreams and an even bigger mouth gets run out the door. :p

What turbo are you running land?

Here check this out, from our own guys 780 whp with TD05, don't even say its not worth rebuilding, your running 400 hp, probably a 16g

Just because you haven't done it doesn't mean it can't be done, and that's no joke

I made 409whp @ 15psi on my base tune, cutting the pulls short by ~2k rpm. LOL Was out on Friday making some steam to the tune of 31psi, up where a turbo this size starts to wake up. Come on down next spring when the tracks open up.

Fact is: 98% of this forum would have a hell of a time trying to make 400whp with a 16G. Many of whom would struggle to do it with a 20G.

But right.. a partial screenshot of a forum post (those are always true!) about a guy using a stock APPEARING turbo that allegedly made 780whp. You can be damn sure there is no TD05H wheel in there, because it cannot flow much beyond 44-45lb/min. That sure shuts me up ROFL

If you are not familiar with what the Stock Appearing Turbo (SAT) class cars are doing, check out Tylers Auto 1G.. using a stock shell and running a 3076HTA. Or The FP Black powered Evos. Those are not using TD05H turbines, for the same reason I am describing to you: the wheels are tapped out well before the mass flow required to make that power. :thumb:

Edit:
The Evo 5 GS makes 330 kilowatts with 16G, for all you yanks that's 330,000 watts/746=442 hp, so with a 25 G 3" inlet I think I'd have no problem blowing your doors off

Source? The most powerful Factory Evo was the 2009 FQ400.. with you guessed it 400HP SAE Net. But, once again, lets pretend. So here goes:
1.) That is power at the crank, not the ground
2.) That is with factory R&D to match those parts and an OE Tune
3.) ~440-445HP (SAE Net) lines up pretty nicely with the fact that the wheel is tapped out at 44-45lbs/min, like I told you. That was also done using a 10.5cm^2 divided housing.

Just bolting on a 25G doesn't mean dick.. you still need to figure out a fuel system (which should make for another fun thread because you have no idea how to research apparently), match complimentary VE components (Ha!) and then you have to tune the sucker.

Also, I have a 4.5" inlet, and 4.5" > 3" ... so mine's bigger! ;)

This is a fake post right? A joke? Nobody is really this god damned stupid. If the op is really this retarded, someone ban his IP, we don't need idiots like this clogging up the forums with bullshit.

Did you know carbon (fibre) is 5 times stronger than steel.
That's interesting considering when I media-blast the turbine wheels on customer turbos, the carbon is removed but the steel remains.

I think this thread has run it's course.
