1G Blown turbo options

Hi I just blew what seems to be an turbo oil line or seal on my 1g. I'm seeing if I should rebuild/fix the stock one or get a new one only reaon why I ask is I'm on a tight budget for the new while and need the car running again thx for your input

Rebuild if you can. I've rebuilt a couple different TD05 cartriges with success. The hard part is getting the rotating components balanced, marked and then re-assembled. I don't have a balancing setup, so I needed to get hep from JusMX141

You can always check how much JusMX141 is charging if you want to send it for him to rebuild - and compare that to a new purchase.

I'll probably end up doing myself im in Northern Canada so getting other to work on stuff breaks the bank do you have a kit that you use? I also have a 16g off a evo 7 would any parts from that work?

I got a rebuild kit online - e-bay or others. There are different options in these kits. Read over the descriptions carefully.

I dunno about turbo internals on the Evo 7. I think you would be better off getting new parts, and not scrounge internals with wear from old stuff.

The turbo i bought was from a friend who rebuilt it then put a 20g on his car so it has fresh parts. Only reason I was thinking that is because in the future I'm gonna go with a bigger turbo so I didn't want to spend to much on this but thx for the info
