I've been inching down the 14b times for a long time now. Last weekend it was an 11.04 and I really thought I'd hit a 10 second pass tonight. But, it was not to be. No nitrous of course

1/8th 7.01 @ 97.82

Going to go back out Sunday to see if I can actually get a 10 second pass out of this thing!

Thanks everyone! I'm going to give it one more go on Sunday. There will be a couple friends there as well so hopefully we can create some magic!

To note, other passes last night were an 11.02 and several 11.1's as the track got cold and tore up from street tires.

Justin Aichele has the current 14b record w/out nitrous at 10.65. Joe ran a 10.84 with nitrous on the car but off, 10.87 with no bottle in the car, 10.61 on the bottle.

This is the current quickest/fastest 14b awd car. I've had that since I ran an 11.30 in my old chassis in 2013.

This is on a 7cm housing from an old big 16g, just a tad different than the 7cm2 found on Evo III 16g's.

i dont know your weight but i bet if you put all your parts in my car you would tear your record a new asshole
i am not going to challenge your record im super low budget
i have a 1980 colt awd im working on, i predict 2100lbs full interior
it has solid axle from celica, a huge weight reduction from the heavy dsm irs,
it was just under 1900 with colt trans and clutch fwd 4g63t all stock 15 psi ran 14.7@104 spinning the whole way on 155/80/13s

of course, it wouldnt be the same thing really, the record should be awd dsm, if your open to motor swaps its conpletely different game and seems kinda redundant record wise

I did, and although I managed a new high mph of 124.8, I did not best my time. The track was really bad, my first pass was an 11.06 @ 124.83, with a 1.63 60'! Had some better 60's later but ended up with some shifting issues. I'm hoping it's just my cables as I had a clip pop out during a pass, but it may be deeper. Going to be looking over all of that today.

With that said I doubt I'll be back out again this year as the weather is turning towards winter and I'm truly losing motivation as well. Pushing towards a goal can be fun, but it's just about run it's course for me. Track visits become disappointments and that isn't cool. So the 14b may come off and go on the shelf for a while. The car needs a few things over the winter, most importantly figuring out why my cylinders have so much variation in compression. Probably a head rebuild in my future. Might be time to throw a 16g on.
