like a welded center diff?
HAHA yeah, a welded center diff in a FWD car LOL
I mean you could adjust the suspension to add weight to the wheel that spins. For example, if the right front wheel spins, you could add weight to it by turning the left rear spring to raise it up a little. Turn it about 1/4 turn at most, you don't want the spring sitting on the edge of the perch. Even with stock springs/shocks it helps a little.

yea, had too much tonight, but you know what i mean, if I could have a solid welded differential. As far as suspension, I have the KYB's... so I should set the one softer that I want more wieght on? Or set the opposite corner in the rear a little sofer. I have stock springs so its not like i can just adjust some coilovers or anything.

do you have a eprom ecu? get a keydiver stage 3 chip. The 2 stage and nlts functions dropped my times by almost .2, and im a really crappy shifter too so it might help you.

Was thinking about it, but cant afford it, plus im still having a little bit of a difficult time with traction as it is.

hows the track prep? where are you losing traction? if your breaking traction off the line because of the track this is what i do. Get a bottle of vht from summit for 10.99, get a little garden spray bottle. Now when your inline to stage spray some on the tires, go into the water box kinda fast so you dont soak the tires, then melt it till you feel the tires shake. that helped me go from a 1.9 60ft to a 1.79 with 24.5x8x15 mt.

if your getting wheel hop you can also use straps to preload the suspension if the track allows it.

Also from my personal experience( i know most will disagree) but when i had my battery in the front and an empty trunk i sometimes bogged when launching, now i put my battery in the back and lightened up the front alot and it got a lot better off the line.

Now I know why people were so impressed with the 1.8 60' time. Poor track prep and shitty weather made it impossible for me to get better than a 2.0 with the slicks.

Whats VHT? and when you say melt it, I assume you mean i need to do a huge burn out. I'm running the same slicks what PSI(warm) are you running?

Cheat, cheat, never beat. OMG

It's the same substance that they put down on the track. It helps make your tires stickier by basically melting them a little. Many in my circle consider that kind of cheatin'.

How is that cheating? Not to make an argument out of it, but its the same stuff they put down on the track, but on test and tune days they don't prep except for maybe once at the beginning of the night, by the end of the night its a poorly prepped track so adding a little vht to your tires seems like it would be reasonable, makes it more like a better prepared track. Although I'm sure it doesn't work quite the same.

well i had an open diff so i had one side down to 18psi and one down to 22psi i dont remember what tire was what though. Just keep playing with the pressures and find one that doesnt bog when you leave the line and doesnt spin at the same time.

Also if your track is prepped shitty then why is prepping your car a little better cheating? Most guys at my track do this because of such poor track prep and the insane amount of street cars running radials on the track.

h3o, if your mods list is correct, I think I have a little more HP than your putting down, So what works for you may not be the same for me. 22 and 18 psi seem really high, I'm running about 13 warm, 11 cold. What kind of times are you running?

sorry my mod list is way off, i dont know what happened to it, but i am subsationaly lighter then you. last time i weighed my car with me in it i was at 2650 i think. Also i have almost all the same mods as you and my car did hit a 12.990 @ 105.xxx. And ya my pressure is up there cause my dumbass could only find a 15x10 tire for the slicks so i can't air it down too much or the bead breaks. I'm going to fix that soon and who knows maybe ill get better times.
