Well I think I'm finally ready to take my car back to the track. The last time I ran my car, I ran a 13.8 @ 97 with a 1.85 60' I believe. At the time the car only had a 3" catback, hi flow cat, k&n and 15 psi.

I dyno tuned my car a few weeks ago and put down about 276 whp and 299 tq. It was also about 90 degrees and like 45% humidity in the dyno room.

Do you guys think this is enough to get my car into the 12's? Hopefully it wont be as hot and humid when I race.

I'm very proud of the power this thing is making, considering it's still on the original turbo, motor and trans with over 152k miles on it.

Its not easy to go from a 13.8 to a 12.XX. I've been working on it for a while now and have only managed a 13.1 best e/t and best MPH of 108. I'm similar to you in that I have the orgional(stock) motor, tranny and 14B. I'm guessing you'll need to add some more power to make the 12's.

108mph traps is mid 12s for sure. sounds like your not coming out of the hole fast enough.

276whp should do 12s, but really it's the driving and not power that will make a fast e/t. go to the track and see what it does!

My buddy went 12.1@112 on a 14b 7cm turbine housing ported, web cams,255 pump, ebay front mount, 2g mass. act2600 with a built trans. 175k its driving..and minor stuff and 108 is definatly mid 12 sec slips..

Screwdgie- with some decent driving, a 12 is definitely possible. It takes 250-300whp uncorrected to do so out our altitude. 5880ft.

You guys have to remember that dsmcamaro is FWD. So hsi trap is on point with his et.

Thats what my car made at the front wheels for an amazing 12.8@104 in a full weight 1g awd with a stock smic, piping, and 100,000 miles turbo. I also didn't have any fuel controll on race gas.

I ran 12.66 at the same mph, meaning that we probably have similar wheel horsepower, judging by the trap speed. So i would say your goal is attainable. (14b)

ill be gonin to ccdsm drag day in lebanon valley in oct 19 im hoping for 12's i have 2g/1g bottom end combo sbr racing fmic gm maf hks ssq 255 walburo dsmlink 880 pte's thermal 3" turbo back ported 2g/o2 housings and a 14b 7cm hotside pishin 18psi

BIGLADY why does your car have 400 and something hp and torque but your quarter mile is 14's does your turbo wake up in 4th gear or is that a typo.

I'm assuming a LOT of driver errorROFL

136mph means the car is haulling but probally missed a gear or couldn't hook for his life. that's a scary time LOL. 14.x @ 13xmph

dave womer did 11.99 on the stock smic, injectors, turbo, fuel pump. daily driven street car too. boardname is pneumo

No driver error. Can you say the 14 inch no name street tires never had a chance. I tried to baby it until the 1/8th mile, and still ran a 15.8@122mph. The car would not hook in ANY GEAR. The car was a tire spinning machine.

The car ran a 12.2@104 the same day with the brand new mickey thompson slicks rubbing really really bad. So bad it took 1/4" our of one tire and 3/8" out of the other. On one pass.

I ran a 12.8@112Mph with a 14b and i only had street tyres, no LSD and 12psi, so i wouldnt say he cannot do it :D

In my fwd which at the time weighed 2700 at the time was able to pull low 12's between 111-114 mph range. so if you are making more power than in your 13.8 run it is do able.

I dont know how but my friend did a 12.1 @ 111 in my car on a 14b a long time ago. It was on race gas with a 11.7 afr and 25psi spikes and like 25 degs of timing. So it is very possible to get low times with low hp. Its all in the overall setup of the car, the weight of the car, the weight you take out of the rotational assembly, the driver technique, and really how hard exactly your willing to push it. Heres a vid of it 2yrs ago doin a 12.3 @ 108 with a 14b on racegas.
If i run race gas and high boost/timing on this thing now with my evo316g and my cams i recently installed, then its in the 11s as long as the clutch doesnt start slipping LOL.

This makes me really excited to finally pick up my 1g eclipse. Im buying it off another member on this forum, and has all supporting mods, but only a 14b. I just want to have a consistent mid 12 second car. Seems as though its feasable for me.

9:1 JE pistons, rods, cams, Port head, valve springs, and titanium retainers, 660cc injectors, walbro, 2g maf, s-afc, act2100, fidanza flywheel.

All Im really thinking of doing is adding a FMIC, as he sold the one that was on the car.

IMO, That should work out, but i would ditch the safc and pick up dsmlink or get into the ecu chipping stuff w/ tuner-pro dsm rom tuning and do a decent gut job on the car.

I would go over full maintenance on the car and get used to it first and dedicate some time in the drivetrain and suspension to get that ready for what you want to do.
Then cam it, and run meth injection, or get some e85 ( get some 1000cc injectors if you go e85, dsmlink or chip can run that without any issues. )
and on track day crank that 14b up to max and low 12s should be no problem...
With a really light car and 1.5/1.6 60 fts maybe even high 11s... Or just get a evo3 16g and lay down an additional 70-80 whp when pushed to that level and run mid 11s like im aiming to do :thumb:
