Insane! Safe to say that record will not be touched. Just happy you took our record back from the EVO guys...LOL. ;) Congrats! Now that is something to brag about. Insane to think swapping cams and the intake alone made that much of a difference. Makes me wonder what I would have done with my pile with an intake and really decent cams.

What is the stock block 4 clyinder record? O yea the video is unbelievable if i wouldnt have seen it with my own eyes i probably wouldn't of believed it. Awesome

Yeah, that'd be interesting to know. Is this the fastest stock block of any four cyliner out there? :hmm:

There was an Airwerks powered Ecotec with the fastest 4 cylinder trap in the low 200s, like 201.xx but that was easily 7-8 years ago..

I think the fastest 4 cyl ET still belongs to Brent Rau, if not trap speed as well.

The Niemczyk dragster is up there as well.

I meant the fastest of any stock block 4 cylinders.

I actually believe there was a stock block 2jz Supra to run an 8.94 but can't be for certain.

With two less cylinders, 2 more wheels to drive, and only .3 second slower, it just goes to show the 2jz is an overhyped hunk of iron compared to the 4g63. :p

Congrats Ostar! Can't wait to see what you guys put down this summer! Hopefully I'll get to see it in person at the shootout. :hmm:

Paradise racing ran there stock block crank and head into the 6's. it's the toyota 2rz 4 banger in the tacomas. I believe they went 7.80's on factory rods and pistons a long time ago as well. Can anyone verify this? I can't seem to find the article I read again? Not really fair comparing a 3/4 race chassis I suppose... ;)

Happy to be a part of the project!!! Congrats!!!

Only other stock block 4 cylinder in the 9s that I know of is the RSP s2k. Mid 9s but it blew shortly thereafter.

There are also a few others in the 9s.. 3 Evos. STM & AWD Motorsports but this is the quickest and fastest by quite a bit..

Cant tell if you're joking or being serious but a couple factory bottom end 2JZ have been into the 1,000whp range. 8.94 is not the quickest they have been either.

By only other I meant outside the 4g63 family. Theres a handful of stock bottom end DSMs and Evos running 9s. Outside that only RSPs s2k is/was in the 9s, it blew shortly after and is being built now.

So yesterday we decided to take the car out to our local 1/4 mile and we were able to run a 9.22@154 on the stock block. We believe the car has a little more in it since this track did not have the best conditions.

Proceed to slam your head into a door several times please.

Congrats Ostar, what transmission ratios are you running? Do you have the EVO3 gearing?

Thanks brother ! It has a PPG dogbox from Sheptrans

How much does it weigh again? Really interested in what was the last time you ran with a standard non-dogbox? It seems the dogbox cars are night and day faster then the standard boxes. You and Dave cars have jumped great lengths with a trans swap. Most including me, just cant drop that amount of cash on a part that can and will still break. I'm thinking of buying the magnus version, as it's the cheapest thus far. I'm wondering if there is a more affortable way, other then the auto swap to make a trans last. Is there cheaper version of the ppg set or another dogbox out there?
