STOCK BLOCK Record broken by Ostar

Just my opinion, but if the time is to count I think the motor should have to live and not blow up. Again that is my opinion, but congrats, cool to see none the less.

 Why? No matter how you cut it the car still went from the starting line to the finish line with the stock block. Honestly when the car comes back out and wrecks the record what's going to be the next excuse?

That would mean that ANY speed record would never stand. They pushed a stock block into the 9's, and one piston said "F" this, I quit.

I look forward to an even faster run at the shootout this year:hellyeah::hellyeah:

You gonna have the car back together for Gainesville?

It's not looking good. The car is getting the cage done and we're working on a new manifold design that will be out for sale once we test it. Another stock block has been put in the car as some of you have seen from our Facebook page so its almost ready to go. The goal this year is to run mid 9's or better on that stock block, but in May it will have to come out and the built motor will go in so we can try to hit 8's in this years shootout :hellyeah:

To me the real question is how much power can the motor handle? An ET can vary by driver and wieght of the vehicle. So how much HP did that car make, and can anyone vouch for more. Yea I know every dyno is different, but that would be more relevant IMO.

As for the quickest statement in your sig, you should add **that blew up** at the end of it.

Dyno #s dont mean shit! Trap speed is where it's at.

I dont remember all of this lame ass hating when mike broke the record. Cant wait til the car comes back out and gives you haters even more to bi*** about!

And the car made 68Xwhp

Can't wait to see the excuses the haters come with when it 60s better and destroys the record again. Dynos are tools, nothing more. Those that do, do...those that can't, hate.

Uhh trap speeds are produce by HP numbers IE Supras.

No one complained when Mike broke it becuase his car didn't blow up, thats why, and no one is hating. If some people questioned the validity of the motor that would be human nature, trust but verify. Personally I believed him without having to watch a tear down video, but understand the internet is full of BS claims out there.... fastest stock block with a small 16g on a FWD on Tuesday's test and tune with stock tires, and a K&N.

I'm not a fan boy of Riz or this guy, I don't know them, nor do they know me, and if he does come back and makes a clean pass backing it up or going even faster I'd be the first to give him credit.

As for the HP, that is impressive, so maybe we should redefine this as the highest HP stock block DSM, that would be more appropriate. I'm pretty sure that Riz car didn't make that much.

Good luck on your quest dude, I think it is cool, not sure why more DSMers haven't been trying for this before 20years after the cars were built.

Ummm dyno #s can be manipulated. So again dyno #s dont mean anything. So by your logic just because the motor let go the numbers it produced are void....seriously that is probably the most rediculous post ive read in months.

Yea but his car didn't blow up on the dyno, he could have "manipulated" the car post dyno... more timing or boost! Seriously dude, take the guy's COKK out of your mouth. We still get the point, the car is (was) fast, and it made some serios HP numbers on a stock 6 bolt.

I'm done, I've made my point and I'm sure some will agree with me and some won't, who cares, all I want to really know is the max HP a stock 6 bolt can handle, seems to be around 680, can anybody prove otherwise?

Theres no need to argue about the fact that the car ran the time and made the mph, but for those who still have trouble believing it, you'll have a chance to see it in action again soon enough.

Don't worry buddy we will back it up with better numbers soon, just seat back, relax and watch ;)

Ahhhhh, that stock block record is for the birds. After seeing the aftermath, of the current record holder. It doesn't seem woth the effort. My car is currently having Eagle rods and Aries pistons installed with arp main studs. We'll see how my car likes 43-44 psi this spring. Do you still have tour car? If so what plans do you have for your beast?

Stock appearing.

I love how there is some that always gotta piss on the parade. I honestly think this car did a amazing thing on a bone stock block. I am sure it will go as fast or faster, then what say it dips lower into the 9s once and kills a rod, on the first golden pass. 98% of all other dsm guys would have there car parted out and give up. Ostar is going for more. I think they deserve nothing but praise from this comunity especially if the dsm you have now has not been faster then 13s.

The #1 unwritten rule of drag racing is you have to back it up, sorry dude.

First it's the car blew up and Rizz's didn't. Then it's that it didn't back up its pass. Well, neither did Rizz's car so by your speculation the record for a stock block DSM should be in the 10s correct? What have you done? Nothing in comparison so get off this dudes sack.
