I will be Posting Pictures very soon and will be updating project on a normal basis. currently are in the process of removing the 6 bolt out of the car to put in the almost finished built 6 bolt. I'm looking to have the car finished by the end of february and will be running the car at the 18th Annual DSM/EVO Shootout At Buschur racing also plan on putting the car on the Dyno. Wish me luck and any input will be helpful.

damn i hate you i wish i had the money to do this =( you mad my day sad =P jk but not really LOL. I agree with needing bigger injectors i too want to do the holset turbo but im going to wait till my 16g goes out for now. i went with 1000cc and 255 for e85 but my goals are 400whp with the holset setup.
 
Allen and I both run HX35s in a bolt on BEP housing both shooting for similar numbers. My car is a full interior with ac car(my girl) and his is gutted caged car. I am 2.3l and he is 2.0. I am running meth/pump and he is going the race gas/e85 route.
 
Go with a Holeset HX-35, spools faster than a GT35R and is capable of just as much power. on a 2.3 it will spool up super quick to be honest.

The biggest hx35 compressor map is about 6lb/min short of a gt35r. As well the gt35r has a much larger turbine wheel. . . It's a completely different frame size. The hx40 is more comparable to the gt35r. And yes, the hx40 does spool a bit faster than the gt35r.
 
great thanks guys for the info. i have also ben told that a holeset is cheaper and easier to rebuild then a ball bearing turbo. is this true? this is my first boosted engine build so sorry for the dumb turbo questions.
 
the beast is doing great LOL.... I am still fixing and upgrading i swear it never ends... I am running 15psi and im estimating on link V3 358hp... I have also been in a time crunch due to moving into a new shop.... but as always here are some new pics I just got together everything to swap what is left of my interior to all black :) and im looking forward to selling my hx35 and bep housing and tial 38mm and upgrading to a hx40 pro and t3 mani with tial 44mm wastegate.. let me knwo what you all think :D

Broke both times LOL.... first time spun a rod i wont even go there.... 2nd time after re breaking it in after new rods crank and bearings my CAS literally exploded... how that happened have no clue it just sounded like a shotgun and i thought my motor was gone... luckily i trailered it home checked timing... i was dead on.. put on a new CAS and it purrs ... i am running it again this coming up wednesday.. hoping to hit a low 13 high 12 on the boost levels that im running now... then ill slowly add more and more..

that would be right Paul. it was probably the easiest 250 dollars ever made LOL.. im going back in september .. it was fun Anti lag off the line nothing caught me.

I've wanted to try it ever since I first learned about them. But, I'd hate to risk having someone hit my eclipse. There's a bunch of vids on youtube and some of those douchbags are purposely making hard contact in the corners. I'd be pissed! I bet it's easy money with almost any turbo AWD car. They aint got nothing on this platform. ;)
 
Agreed ^ you should come out to the next one.. we have a meet and cruise to kalamazoo speedway... from the shop.... I also seen those vids of the crashes... my opinion on that was to launch the hell out of the car and get in front right away. Then it gives them no chance to even hit you.. I was beating everything off the line even if I was on the outside or inside. a few of the cars i raced were a new GTO a prelude a few 240's 1 was sr20 swapped... a ford mustang and a studabacker ...
 
well that to but that is a given ... I never left 2nd gear and my holset was loving the high rpm's on the backstretch i was only running 12psi but that was enough... I cant wait to see what it is going to be like at 20 psi around that track :)
 
I need a well cover for my gsx, and the polish with the black looks petty good. I could run it for rep for SIM? As I do show the car off a lot here in Detroit.
