I will be Posting Pictures very soon and will be updating project on a normal basis. currently are in the process of removing the 6 bolt out of the car to put in the almost finished built 6 bolt. I'm looking to have the car finished by the end of february and will be running the car at the 18th Annual DSM/EVO Shootout At Buschur racing also plan on putting the car on the Dyno. Wish me luck and any input will be helpful.

Ya we will see... I am honestly about to just buy a crank kit and keep the 2.0... I dont know... I lost like all momentum when I turned that first piston around LOL.. Hopefully someone buys my wisecos. All i want it 400...

Ya unlike allen I am trying to get kicked out of the track then I have justification to put a cage in it. I hate climbing in his car. Im 6'1 and 230. Im not fat but I am bigger than allen and it is a bi*** getting in the car hahaha. I was the one driving the car in that vid.

Ill be going ill be in touch closer to the day. unfortunately my dsm is under the knife, it will be out early june if all goes well. Im up for crusing soon.
 
if i'm not working that day, i'll for sure go to Martin to watch. should be a fun drive up.

Hey man give me a call ill come lend a hand pulling that tranny out anytime. or if you wait until may 1st you can bring it to our new shop in kzoo.

but dont loose any sleep over it we will get to the bottom of it and get it that Stroked HX40 beast of a Galant back on the road in no time.
 
SO we finally got the timing issue fixed and it is running great. Allen forgets about the CAS LOL. fixes everything but doesn;t check the CAS
 
Were you having trouble with the 1G Cas base timing?? Theres no grounding plug on 97-99's to get it to base idle, and with no DSMlink for now I just set it to 8* which should be normal idling timing.

I hope its runnin strong.
 
I saw it the other day and seems to be fine. It still has lots of tuning to be done;however, its still breaking in so. He needs to fix his starter ;-p
 
WORST DAY OF MY LIFE>>> well fiorst time at the drag stip I lost all Oil pressure due to oil filter coming loose on the drag strip FML and spun a rod. I was only running 8psi and it was around my 4th pass of the night and then I got that awful sound of rod Knock... I will post pics of the damage nothing major just need 1 neww rod and a crank and I am replacing all the rings and putting a new oil pump on it and putting it back together so I guess this is built motor #2.... and yes something good did come out of this i now can switch in the right starter plate and fix the starter issue :)
 
Already have all the new parts coming in just waiting for them. Im just doing a little more cleaning and a WIRE TUCK since all the wiring issues are fixed.
 
when you get it going again, there is a 240 around here who thinks he can take down your gsx. LOL, should be interesting. gl, on the fix.

I am currently building my 2g and having my 2.3 short block built by dsmgraveyard. looks like this thread has a lot of input on a higher hp motor. i have one good question for you if you dont mind. im looking for around 450hp+ and 500tq+ to the wheels on my awd tsi. i have been looking at the gt35r turbo. im not really wanting a motor that produces all of its power at high rpm, i would like a good low and mid range power, this car is going to be a daily driver and i want a torque monster. do you think im heading the right way with wanting a ball bearing turbo?

Go with a Holeset HX-35, spools faster than a GT35R and is capable of just as much power. on a 2.3 it will spool up super quick to be honest.
