I will be Posting Pictures very soon and will be updating project on a normal basis. currently are in the process of removing the 6 bolt out of the car to put in the almost finished built 6 bolt. I'm looking to have the car finished by the end of february and will be running the car at the 18th Annual DSM/EVO Shootout At Buschur racing also plan on putting the car on the Dyno. Wish me luck and any input will be helpful.

Hell yea, that sounds like it's going to be a beast of a car!! Good luck with everything. Post up a video of it on the dyno.

You are going to be really maxing out that hx35, should be a really nice build. Can't wait to see it at the shootout.

Sounds like a fun build. One issue I have with it though... If your plans are for 600hp, why only run an OEM shortblock? 600hp is possible, sure, on a stock 6-bolt, but personally, I think it's just asking for trouble. You could go with a fairly inexpensive forged shortblock with some Mahles and Scats or something and have a lot more room for error.

Just my $0.02. ;)

you should be able to get it done man.

But i see no use for SHEP transfer case,DSM Graveyard Rear Racing Axles,COP setup. And a few other things!

I'm not trying to say anything bad at all.

Do you already have all these parts ?

And you wont need anywhere near 600hp to run 11's.

& 3" intercooler piping will make your turbo very laggy . i ended up going back to 2.5" piping with a 3" upic pipe. proably go back to a 2.5 there also.

I've been putting 600+ whp through stock 6 bolts for years and never had an issue.

But that's besides the point. I highly doubt based on the mods list and goal of 11 seconds that he's talking about 600 at the wheels. I think he's talking 600 at the crank with some ridiculous assumed drivetrain loss like 25% or something. Because 380whp is enough to run 11s. There are also several parts listed that cannot support 600. walbro will be done at 500whp and the bullseye housing might as well be a restrictor plate.

Allen is just bench racing LOL... He is trying to max out this car safely and try to beat me... Good luck. Im trying to go 11s on the stock 7bolt...

Hey its fantastic to see our vendors contributing to the community. Sharing their builds gets the community excited about the company and in return boosts sales, which is never a bad thing!

One question only because ive researched a ton about the hx35, why are you only going with 1000 cc injectors? On E-85 that wont be near enough, by my calculations you need at least a minimum of 1600cc for 500whp and thats at 100% IDC. Just saw that and scratched my head everything else on your build is top notch!

you will need larger injectors and possibly another pump especially for e85. Also the hx35 assuming it's the 7blade will probably choke with the small housing on there. I would also consider a COP without a ignition amp to be a downgrade to the stock system. Also consider a well thought out crankcase evap system or catch can setup, running the 35 to 600hp will require well over 30psi

+111

You will be maxing the pump and over running the injectors on e85. 1450cc would be my minimum choice for 600 crank. Add dynatec's arc2 to the COP and you'll have fireworks in there. Shep transcase though that's big $$ and add with it a 3.5" DSS driveshaft.. More than what you'd need and 20% of your total cost. You'll have one hell of a DD though! :rocks:

yah i was not sure where to post this if someone can move it for me thanks. as far as E85 I ###### should of said i would like to drive around with a mild E85 tune and at the track switch to race gas. the motor is being built now at Strictly Import Motorsports in Jackson MI. Im sure we will make a lot of changes along the way, as far as parts that i have already. I have the Shep trans and transfer case in the car right now. I have the full turbo and fuel setup and all my motor parts. I still have to find someone to do my cage for me so any ideas please let me know I would like to stay local if posible. thanks for all the post ill keep it updated.

I'm excited. I'd love to line up against you and Whalen at martin. I need to get a serious fuel system. Hopefully you can find someone that does great cage work. I'm interested in getting it done but only if my interior/rear seats are usable.

thats a good question why did i choose NPR over evo 9's well number one was the price i did not feel that i was going to get anything more with an evo 9 compared to a npr that is heat treated. yes i know the evo will give me a little higher compression but i belive the NPR will perform just as well as the evo 9.

For cage work, you could always try Street & Strip in Otsego. They can do cages in Mild steel or chromoly.

Thanks for the help I was lost on where to get it done. I will call them tomorrow.

hey man, great list of parts your puttin in the car. it should be a beast.

my .02 is that you should go for the stage 3 trans from shepard. they come with a much beefier center diff which is the 4 spider rather than the oem 2 spider that will be in the stage 2 transmission from them.

im only putting about 350hp to the wheels and i ripped through 2 different transmissions within 2 months and i broke both of them in as well before driving the car like i stole it. took both of them apart and what do you know, the 2 gears from the center diff ground into the center diff housing, which is about 400 for the housing itself. bearings are about 200. the 2 spider differential wont be able to withstand all of that torque you will be throwing down on those 5k launches.

Well unfortunately I already have the SHEP trans and transfer case. so i will have to run them until they break i guess. I am also thinking about calling TRE and seeing what he can do with my LSD rear. I also plan on putting a bunch of pics on tomorrow with all the new goodies :) .... I also plan on calling street and strip and lining up my roll cage instal. This weekend the plans are to remove the 6 bolt that is in the car, Remove all the suspension and interior, along with the non LSD rear end to make room for all the new parts. I am also getting all my parts together to be sent to a local guy named Jeff to do all my powder-coating and ceramic coating. I will be sure to post many pictures for all of you. Also I am getting a lot of input that my walbro 255 will not be enough to reach my goals, if you all could give me some ideas on what would be a better choice that would be great.

Thanks for putting the snow penis on my window last night allen... A-hole...

I think allen is going to have multiple tunes.. His pump, e-85, and race.. We have one e-85 pump in kalamazoo and it is kinda far south.. The graveyard is in the north side of kazoo so I'm sure he will have his laptop to change pump-e-85 tunes..

When i did my e-85 mix i hit almost 80% at 24psi on the holset with 850s(rewired 190!)... I think you can run 26ish on straight e85 with some nasty timing curve.. My TRE stage 2 is holding up fine with no center diff upgrades.. 1.7 60 foots and all wheel peels with no problems so far..

Since this is a loose thread i gave my girlfreinds dad a ride yesterday after dropping her car off to get an alignment.. I did a 0-end of 3rd pull :shhh: and scared the shit out of him.. He bought a z28 camaro and a GTO of the lot when he was younger and both were the top of the line models and he said my car is the fastest car he has ever been in LOL... I think the launch scared him.. He asked me what that loud pop was right before i launched it LOL... ANTILAG FTW..

It seems like the southwest region on michigan is getting some NASTY dizzums that are very fast.. Paul Volk with his compound turbo GST/X, Dan with schwitzer gsxasty, Cman(chris) 2.3l hx40 GVR4, My HX35 GSX, Lafond with his 11 sec GSX, Allen with his hx35 GSX, plus a ton others i dont know or have met.. Its getting pretty crazy LOL..
