Hey guys! I'm hoping you can review my parts list and give me honest feedback on my build. I'm looking to start piecing everything together soon but want to make sure I get parts that compliment each other and get me to my goal. Alot of items I plan on replacing with new to save on future headaches. Here is what I have thus far

Car Info- 97 GST auto. I plan on keeping it auto at this point.

Goals - I plan to keep this a street car with a goal of 400whp. I plan on having RRE tune it using DSMlink for a 91octane tune, and an E85 tune.

You have a nice slew of parts there, but entirely overkill. For only 400whp, a set of 6 bolt rods on 2G pistons is fine, along with a 20G and supporting mods for it.

If you don't care about the money aspect and want a setup like you have posted, then go for it. You will definitely hit your goal with that style setup.

1G OEM Throttlebody (port match to intake manifold) Shouldn't need to port match if you get the intake manifold with a 1g flange.

Magnus 1G-2G Adapter Harness I don't think this is needed if you're using the Kiggly CPS and a 2g CAS.
Moroso Aluminum Oil Pan #20960 Might want to read this thread, as I assume you'd be using ARP main studs.
ATI Super Harmonic Dampner #918251 Or if you don't think you'll need this beast, a Fluidamper will do just fine and be easier on the wallet.

Avid Racing 4 piece billet motor mount kit Or put Prothanes in the motor mounts (engine and transmission) and get solid aluminum roll stops (front/rear). The solid aluminum will help prevent wheel hope. Just another option.

GSC Intake Valves This seller (engnbldr - eBay user name) is supposedly a great guy to deal with and has great valves/valve guides. Just another option that's a bit more wallet friendly.

GSC Lifters Or if you want to save some money, you can get a set of Topline lifters from eBay - they work great.
Injector Dynamics Injectors (what size?) I'd probably push you to get FIC injectors. If you want to purchase once and done, go 2150's. Just keep in mind they don't play as nice with gas as some of their smaller injectors. They work extremely well on E85 though!
Magnus Fuel Rail Aftermarket fuel rails are not needed for 95% of people on this site. I'd only consider this if you're looking for the cosmetic upgrade.

Magnecor 10mm Spark Plug Wires Or just get a set of NGK plug wires - they work great.
ARP Head stud Kit Possibly look into the L19 kit.

Walbro Fuel Pump (what size?) 255lph High Flow. Or do some searching around here to see how some of the newer, bigger in tank pumps work.
AFPR - ??? Needed for 255lph+ fuel pumps.
Fuel pump rewire kit Highly suggested to make sure your pump doesn't drop voltage during a pull and cause you to run really lean.
AEM Tru-Boost Gauge #30-4350 Not personally my favorite gauge, but to each his own. Keep in mind if you ever want to run speed density (uses MAP and IAT sensors), the included MAP sensor cannot be used. You'll need a different one to feed into the ECU.
AEM Digital Wideband #30-4100 Ditch the AEM wideband and pick up an Innovate LC-1. The AEM doesn't play nicely with ECMlink.

I'm unsure what turbo to run at this point, so your input would be appreciated. What do you plan on using the car for, what type of spool are you expecting, how much growing room do you want from that 400hp goal, anything else that might help us suggest something?

My assessment of the build with your goals? Complete overkill. I'm not sure if you've done your research on parts/brands or if you've just picked out stuff from one vendor's website (note - all GSC head parts - whether that's good or bad, I don't know). I'm all for doing stuff bigger than your goals so you have room to grow. Your list just seems like it was pulled from a magazine from someone who is a brand whore (no offense to you - just my observation).

Have you even looked at what it would cost you to put together that build list? If so, do you have that total handy? I'm not saying you need to go cheap, but I think with some suggestions from people on this site, we can get you to your goals with a much cheaper build list. If money is no issue and you are set on the parts in your list, then that's good you have a plan and pretty killer list! If not, let us know and we'll throw some cheaper suggestions your way for a car that will be equally as fun.

I saw you mentioned it will be a street car - does this mean strictly a daily driver? Does it meet weekend toy car? Weekend toy car + some track duty? I'd like to get an idea of what all you'll be using this for.

I'd personally suggest staying away from the AEM when tuning with DSMLink. They're a huge PITA to set up and will likely be inaccurate in your datalogs. Innovate MTXL would be my first choice.

I also agree that this is way overkill. The stock 6-bolt has been proven to handle over twice your goals. And I agree with snowboarder that many of those parts are going to be pricey just for the name. If I were you I'd save time and money wherever you could on the block and focus on turbo, intake, and fuel system. Those are what really matter for making power.

Look at my mods in my profile. I made 380whp on e85 stock motor with like $2,000 in parts. So don't go to crazy.

Wow I didnt realize just how out of touch I was until I talked with Sam at RRE. I've got an appt set to see him in a couple of weeks so he can perform a leakdown and check the overall health of the engine before we proceed with any mods. We ended up deciding on the following

Walbro 255 (rewire fuel pump at same time)
1200cc injectors
RRE Stealth Catback with RRE long downpipe
K&N FIPK
FMIC with full piping
Kelford TX264 Cams
Undecided on turbo at this time... maybe a FP Green? Or a FP 3076HTA ball bearing? Unless you guys have a better recommendation?

Get the LC-1 instead of the AEM wideband. I'd probably go for the FIC 1150cc injectors over the 1200cc ones.

Dreaming doesn't cost anything, your parts list will cost 15k minimum...

Street performance cars drive most of the time at mid range. A well built street machine needs a well balanced mid range and high end. Why do so many ppl ignore this and go crazy with their street project car ??? BECAUSE NEWBIES !!!! Common rookie mistake... ITS ALL ABOUT THE RIGHT COMBINATION OF PARTS

BTW, your parts list has a 2 mayor components missing. Driveline and suspension system are the most important and ignored components of a high performance machine.
