I’ve seen cyclone turbo manifolds but never a cyclone with out the turbo stamping, does anyone know what this intake manifold might’ve came off of? Thanks! (It came on the car when I bought it)

Agreed but I think 4g61 has the smaller "2g" size runners, which has me wondering if it's either mismatched or the car has a different head than stock.
There are large runner 4g61 heads out there. I run 4g61 and G4CN heads on circle track cars to boost the compression while still looking stock. That said I have no idea if they ever made large runner cyclone manifolds for the 1.6

The best way to tell is there should be a 1.6 stamped on the head where the 2.0 normally is. Other than that the only way to tell them apart is the combustion chamber size. Generally the 1.6 are 42-44cc and the 2.0 are around 47cc. Of course that varies by casting and how many times the head has been resurfaced

Quite a long shot that someone in the states would have the manifold I'm thinking of but I know that the early 90's jdm Galant VX-4 came with that intake manifold. Or at least one that looks very similar. As you can guess the VX-4 was a non turbo awd Galant in Japan. Oh... I forgot to mention the VX-4 had a 2 liter engine.

A lot of used JDM engines used to get imported to the states for replacements. Entirely possible that manifold made its way over that way. The whole engine could be a used JDM replacement. Have you checked the vin stamped on the block? Does it match the vin on the dash?

I can’t really read the engine code stamping on the exhaust side and I can’t seem to find the vin on the transmission side just under the head either. It appears to have had been swapped at some point. My car is a 1993 talon es but it has what I believe to be a 6 bolt 4g63. (It does have a balance shaft so I’m pretty confident it is a 4g63) I can check my cylinder head for the “2.0” stamping too after work today

Without more info. It looks like a 1g i take manifold stamped cyclone. You never mentioned an actuator or other I fo that would be helpful.
I apologize, I’m still pretty new to this stuff. What info would you need to know to help better narrow down what this intake might be besides actuator? Would a picture of the throttle body help at all? I have my cylinder head off currently so I can get almost any kinda picture needed after work today.

Since you pulled the head, can you pull the intake manifold and see?

That's interesting the manifold doesn't appear to be a dual runner manifold like the "Cyclone Turbo Intercooler" stamped manifolds are.

I’ve seen cyclone turbo manifolds but never a cyclone with out the turbo stamping
There is a common confusion, because many people commonly call the JDM GVR4's dual runner intake manifold as "cyclone intake manifold" and that caused that many people believed that the dual runner intake manifold is only the cyclone intake manifold. But "cyclone" indicated the engine, so there actually were multiple cars that had a cyclone stamp.

does anyone know what this intake manifold might’ve came off of?
I don't know if those are all but I am sure that at least this cyclone stamped intake manifold came with DOHC turbo 4g61 (1.6) or a non turbo AWD galant w/ DOHC 4g63 (2.0).
They DOHC 1.6 and 2.0 intake manifold look like the same from the top side but they are not the same, the 1.6 intake manifold has a smaller inlet for throttle body and smaller runner ports for cylinder head which looks like the 2g DSM or RVR/Chariot intake manifold but it's still for the 1g style larger ports cylinder head. The 2.0 manifold has the same inlet and runner port size as 1g DSM intake manifold for the larger ports cylinder head.
IIRC you can easily distinguish by checking on the top side of a runner, there should be a stamp, either 16 or 20. 16 = 1.6, 20 = 2.0.

Beat me to it.

Adore the dual runner ones. There are even non actuated variants/without butterflies in them too.

The one you should all want are the AMG dual runner variants. God I lust after those. They flow more than the stock 1G manifold and give more torque than the actuated galant one does.
