Well I am in between purchasing a Cyclone manifold with the solenoids and vacuum canister for my Galant Vr4. I was wondering first about power gains with this mani. I have heard that it does increase lowend and midrange torque. Does this reduce turbo spool time? and the seller claims 40lb tq from this manifold. Is this true? I do want a bit more torque but is this manifold really worth putting on the car? and what kind of hp levels can it achieve before going SMIM? Thanks

I have one chillin in the garage and have been researching this as well. I read that it greatly helps the spool up of larger turbos however I currently have a 16g. Would this help for this smaller turbo?

I've also read that it greatly helps mpg, since I know that what we are all after :p

If i remember correctly i actually sold mine to toofast82 about a year or two back. I run a evo 3 intake manifold now.., and everyone can agree that, that is a much better manifold for the buck.

Yeah..good luck finding one though.

Different purpose. Cyclone as mentioned is for low to midrange power without sacrificing too much top end. I had one on my 1G and can tell the difference in low-mid range torque. EVO 3 has shorter runners for mid-top end gain. I can't speak for it since I have never used one.

The gains will depend on the entire setup. Cams, turbo, exhaust, tuning...
