You've got a shitload to learn, newbie. I tend to disagree here... First what you want to do is set your personal goals... Are you aiming at 350 hp? If so, don't waste your money on one turbo (14b) just to replace it a few months later. Step back for a minute and decide exactly what your end goals are, and then follow the 2g upgrade path to get you there! Just remember, as stated at the beginning, it's not the turbo alone that makes you power, it's all of the fuel and air supporting mods, with a good tuning device!

I also agree with buying it once then to have to keep upgrade over and over agian. But he doesn't seem to know much about dsms and you always have to take baby steps to insure he knows about the car rather then to blow it up in a week. He is not trying to make the car a beast at the monent. He said he wanted it to be allitle bit faster then stock and to get the car running.
After just finishing a rebuild and install of a small 16g on my 2g, there is one thing that was always coming to mind, "way on earth didn't I buy the T28?" sure its not that hard of an install, but there would have been a lot less headaches with a T28. I ended up spending about $330 for the turbo, where now days you can easily find a T28 for the same, sometimes less, and not have to buy a oil feed line, drill out the oil return line, bend the coolant lines, or stretch the intercooler pipe just to get it to BARELY fit. Yes I'm glad to be rid of the undersized T25, and yes the 16g feels much better even at 13psi, but if I were to do it all over again my money would have gone to a T28 no doubt.
I love mine
and i came to a stop, put it in 1st and went up to around 3500...after that i didn't hear my turbo spooling up, or my guage needle climbing as i opened up the throttle. instead i felt a steady shaking of my whole car..it was like something was holding my car back..turbo was spooling but not as much as it normally does. so basically, i believed i'm ####ed and will have to rebuild it. unless you guys can think of what's wrong with it. HELLPPPPPPBIG TROUBLE!! i got a 16g turbo on my car and just today i was driving...fastand i came to a stop, put it in 1st and went up to around 3500...after that i didn't hear my turbo spooling up, or my guage needle climbing as i opened up the throttle. instead i felt a steady shaking of my whole car..it was like something was holding my car back..turbo was spooling but not as much as it normally does. so basically, i believed i'm ####ed and will have to rebuild it. unless you guys can think of what's wrong with it. It's simple:You keep comparing the small 16g to the t28, why not compare the e16g to the t28. Most people that have been recommended the e16g rather then the small 16g for a reason.

sorry for posting on here but i tried posting on another thread and it said i couldn't post, start a new thread and everything else.

I'm often puzzled as to why folks make such a huge deal about "install kits" for putting a TD05H turbo on a 2G. All the coolant lines from the T25 will fit, and the oil drain pipe can be made to work easily by slightly slotting the two upper holes. If he's really looking at the performance capabilities in the realm of a Evo III, than a FP Big T28 would be able to fit the bill just fine (<b>with out the $200 being spent on an install kit</b>).

The only thing left to purchase is a 1G oil supply line, and a 1G j-pipe for the compressor outlet....a whopping $50 spent in accessories.
