ok I have already ordered some parts and still making some choices, let me know what you think. Tell me if I should change somethings around or just tell me what you think about what im using.

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/blogs/dwr-dsm/888-2010-gsx-build.html

I already have these parts - Koyo rad, mish hoses, flex a lite dual fans, bulleye 3" intake, 2g maf, k&n filter kit, eibach lowering springs, vrs intercooler kit, hks ssqv bov, aem fuel rail, aeromotive fpr kit, 255 walbro, sparktech C.O.P., megan downpipe, megan exhaust, greddy turbo timer with harness, aem ugo, aem boost gauge, greddy spec boost controller.

Parts still to order and get done, 2.3L 6bolt, 1g head ported n polished 272/272 cams, precision 5557 to4e undivided/.63 a/r./ internal hd wg. hafe manifold, sbr o2 housing, jmf heatshield, 1g TB port n rebuilt 65mm, jmf race intake, shep stage 3 tranny, south bend ss pressure plate, south bend TZ-Series Clutch Disk, oem tob, ss clutch line, poly MM, FIC 850cc, and dsmlink light.

its overkill because you are only shooting for 400whp. their upwards of 1200 typically unless you find a deal on a used one.

DSMlink is the way to go. cheaper, and easier for your goals.

+1

It ECMLink may not have all the bells and whistles of EMS, but it's MUCH cheaper and more user friendly as well. Many people will favor ECMLink or ECU Flashing over EMS for many reasons.

The COP setup will not work proplerly without a DIS or if you still decide to spend almost 2k for the EMS which can change the dead time of the coils.

I would go with 1450 injectors and dsm link.
As far as head work goes all you really need is the bowls cleaned up and a good valve job any thing above that is a waist of money. Sock size valves should also be used.
Also go with the ECM dsmlink as others have stated. You will not gain anything with an AEM stand alone besides a big head ake. I would only go with AEM If I were a professional AEM tunner and its NOT needed in your situation among it being a waist of money. There are guys pulling 750 HP using dsm link.
NO on the coil on plug waist of more money and will just give you problems. A real nice set of wires and your good to go.
Save your money you will need it down the road.

Stock DSM ignitions are the shit....if you had an evo, a COP would be a good investment. A good set of wires and plugs, goes a long way on dsm's. COP's look cool, but I have had a couple friends that have reported ignition issues when using a COP, and went back to a stock ignition, which resolved the issue.

Ive got to ask, why such a heavy push for dsmlink with so many other options, such as the Jackal and ostrich combo. That seems to have more options and is more stable. Also only 1/4 of the price.

Not only has it been proven to be very effective time and time again, but it also works great regardless of the hp goal. A tuning device is one of those things that if you go cheap, you will get burned in the end.

Why such big injectors for a 400 whp build?

Jackle + Ostrich is actually another GREAT option for 1g owners. You actually have a little more tuning capabilities with the setup over ECMLink. You still need a logger however IIRC.

1450cc injectors are a bit much even if he ever plans on going E85. Bigger the better, yes (to an extent). You just don't want to buy parts twice. Get at least 1050's and figure out what your final goal is and base it off of that.

I wouldn't suggest E85 b/c that reallly gunks up your engine, you'll have to have it cleaned much more and, it's only free horsepower for the first bit. After that it's not much of a gain b/c of all the gunk.

HAHAHA let me see this information on these claims you are making.

Just switching from 93 octane to E85 can mean the difference of a 20psi tune to 35psi tune WITHOUT knock. What does that mean? You guessed it, MORE HP.

Oh, and the reason why you need to be sure you fuel system to be E85 compliant is because E85 is alcohol and is more caustic than gas. It eats away parts much like an acid would. If anything, you would have a cleaner system.

I would get the LINK, 950 and a good set of wires and plus. 400 whp isn't alot with a 2.3L, SMI and 272. The v3 is very user friendly, I'm running about 24 psi and 50-52 lb/min in my setup and it's just with ngk's wires and plugs. Dont waste your money on a COP setup or upgraded ingition setup unless you looking for 650whp and revving to the moon. IMO.
