Well if you look a little closer at the pics you can see the 1g BOV on there.

Right, so because it is automatic, you NEVER have to let off the throttle.:heystupid: In your world, compressor surge doesn't matter because your transmission is auto.WTF

There is alot of auto drag cars that don't run bov's. It is a pretty common thing.

I have tested quite a few on the dyno. On my 522whp 10.8 16g EVO I tested 3 intakes and the Magnus cast is the only one that gained and it was only 5hp on my 16g combo.

I feel the Hawver might be the only one. But tying to buy one is impossible. We have been trying to buy one for 6mons now.

This car makes 402whp through the Auto. Which would be close to 450whp through a 5spd. Curts car was right at 500whp through a 5spd which I know I can come close to with a 10:1 motor and a electric water pump.

Curts car is probably a good 200lbs lighter then ours. With over 20k in just strange weight saving mods. Like $2000+ Wheel bearings (Ceramic) Carbon fiber drive shaft Break man motor cycle breaks and the list goes on.

I feel in a 5spd this car would trap around 130mph.

I tried a JMF street intake on my Evo16G Talon and the gain was less than 5hp, however the midrange loss was around 30ft/lbs :( Needless to say, that intake came off the car the same day.

We try our bast to have most fun for the least amount of $$.

I think we could duplicate this car a for a customer for a very good price. I was thinking for ultimate safety and simplicity no Meth with a FMIC would be the safest way to go.

that car looks identical to mine. hahhaah.

gives me some inspiration. its too bad that E85 is not readily available in Canada. I would love to see what I could do with my car in its current set up on E85. Good job tho.

:hellyeah:

I believe he is running HKS 272 cams...well as long as they havnt been upgraded since that was posted.
Edit: So English do you feel that this setup would be maximized with high compression pistons or you you think that would hurt your results (with your current set up left the way it is). If I could find an auto 1g cheap enough I would like to see what my results with this set up would be...im guessing not close since my car with a much bigger turbo is still slow :(

Yep thats exactly it genius. :notgood: On a drag automatic they arent necessary.

Leave you opinions out of the thread. He has a BOV. Race cars with boost and auto trannies do. Like Kiggly. And any respectable GN. . . It is what it is. If you want to discuss why it isn't neccesary, I await your thread in the turbo forum ;)

Most of those questions are answered in his other thread that he linked in the first page of this thread.

The car has cams

Like others said I have the full build list in the other thread.

I feel I can make more hp with higher comp.

If I were to bench race some I would hope with a 11:1 comp motor like my EVO and the electric water pump I may be able to squeeze a very low 10s

We will have a water pump on for testing this Friday and will be running he car this sat night.

Yes a Electric water pump. Have been running one on my EVO now for over 30k and it has been working great.

We have been assuming 20whp at the high RPM but hope to soon find out what the real gains are since we have a Dyno to use all the time now.

could you give pics and info on the electric water pump setup?

I think I read on this forum that electric water pumps are pretty pricey. I think it was around $200-250 for the pump then another $170 for the controller for it. I never even heard of them till recently so I did a search for them on the forum and found a few threads that mention them but none that really go into depth about them (besides saying that it keeps your car at a precise temp all the time instead of it jumping around like the temp of your cars now)

The pump I use is about $380 and we just run it all the time and let the normal T-stat do its job.

The pump we run we just clamp in the lower hose.

I will get some pics up when we do the Auto tomorrow.
