Well the 16g's just keep amazing us everyday with the power and spool.

My tech TJ built this car last year wanting to test some ideas he had and it has to be one of the best combos for the $$ I have ever seen or driven. With less then $3000 in the whole car now with buying to to run a 10.6 is just amazing.

Having ran some very good times over the years in some of my other cars with 5spds. The auto is a very nice change. For once I can enjoy the pass feel the power. Even in my 3065 1g that whent 9.6 this car is way funner. Having to lauch the car just right and grab all the shifts just right on the 5spd can make it hard to really just enjoy the pass.

We now have close to 40 runs on the car at the 10.6-11.5 level and with the stock 160k trans and the only mods is what they call the blue wire mode that raises the line pressure. TJ even hooked the mod up the to Power Economy button so its normal grandma slush shifts in Economy and hard firm shfits in Power:)

The car was haveing some serious traction problems on the Snow tires so my best 60ft was a 1.6. I am going to take the slicks off my Evo so we can hope to get our 60ft in the 1.4-1.5 range and maybe pull of some 10.4-10.5's :)

Of course on my 10.6 the 1/8mi Mph was wrong. Seems each time my best ET of the day at 2 diffterent tracks has a messed up 1/8th mph

You aren't running an intercooler? Thats crazy, nice car though and great times!!!

nice times!!

whats your AFR? E85 i assume?

how much boost and what LB/min is it flowing and how much timing advance?

The LucasEnglish guys never cease to amaze me!!

I seen the old thread about this car! Looks like you dropped a couple tenths. Awesome times on the setup, simply amazing!

I want to know more about the blue wire mod. I know that the Safc has a blue wire mod but what is the trans mod?

It refers to modifying the tcu shift solenoid wires(blue) to create a 100% line pressure shift condition. This is what I had done when I had the auto trans in my car. This is what i believe was called the RMT mod back in the day. It worked great for me plus you could switch it on via the power/econ switch

EagleTalonTim's shift box is also very nice.
I am getting off topic of the thread, so i'll stop

I really think this car's setup and times has a lot of people looking at their timeslips and setup and they are scratching their head:aha:

Great work as always..What is the duty cycle of those 880s ? I thought you had to go alot bigger when running E-85 . Do you sell that cold-air pipe you run ? Where can I get some of those snow tires at ?:thumb:

Well about 30% of the fuel is Methanol so we are only using about 70% of the injectors.

We probably could build the intake pipe if we had about a week lead time.

Id like to see what this car would do if you put a better exhaust and intake manifold on it, what do you think Lucas?

Also, any plans for dropping any weight out of it, and/or building up the block with higher compression etc ?! I want to see how deep it can go in the 10s.

Well I dont think the flow can get much better with only a 3in DP.

Most intakes I see seem to really only pick up power from 5800rpm on and kill some low end. So I doubt a intake would be much help.

Simply amazing Lucas.

Something like this makes me want to try out an auto for a budget-minded build. 125 mph outa an evo3 is so badass. Assume this car is a full street car / daily driver too, since the setup's soo simple.

FWIW, take this with a grain of salt, but I know CB's 130+ trapping 10 sec 16g setup was using the jmf race, and on Evil Eagle's ( Jake M. ) Evo he got awesome gains out of a jmf drag on the stock evo 16g, (awkward maybe.)

As well, the results here caught my interest at one point of time.
I agree the increase is above 5k, but in a drag situation I think there are gains to be had...

Hawver Motorsports Inc.

Also, with your comment about the 3in DP. Do you feel its restrictive?

Spending only $3000 to go that fast makes me feel sick to my stomach :(
Has this car been on the dyno? Any whp #'s or guesses to what it would put down?

EDIT: What size nozzle/nozzles are you using for your meth injection? Are you injecting straight Meth or some water also?

I have tested quite a few on the dyno. On my 522whp 10.8 16g EVO I tested 3 intakes and the Magnus cast is the only one that gained and it was only 5hp on my 16g combo.

I feel the Hawver might be the only one. But tying to buy one is impossible. We have been trying to buy one for 6mons now.

This car makes 402whp through the Auto. Which would be close to 450whp through a 5spd. Curts car was right at 500whp through a 5spd which I know I can come close to with a 10:1 motor and a electric water pump.

Curts car is probably a good 200lbs lighter then ours. With over 20k in just strange weight saving mods. Like $2000+ Wheel bearings (Ceramic) Carbon fiber drive shaft Break man motor cycle breaks and the list goes on.

I feel in a 5spd this car would trap around 130mph.

We are running 4 of the Aqua mist 1 jets which used to be there biggest. (170psi) Have not looked at there jets in a few years
