i'll link them just in case they aren't there since i'm not a supporter/freelancer i'm not sure if my adds show up
(sorry i had mistaken that they were weld drag lites, it's been a while since i ran them and even took them out of storage because of money, my surgeries and not having a 1/4 mile track within 3 hours distance also :( )

PM me with any questions, don't let these good FWD parts go to waste, plus i'm dead broke, so help a brotha out if you can please :D

im running a 2g gst with a 6bolt/ FPt28/650cc , fmic and LSD cant wait to see what she'll do-

Get some good tires and practice. You should get some solid 13s or faster if you run slicks and 20=psi with FMIC.

Update for my race car....
We ripped out all the wiring and made up a full race harness and now the car wont run, we have checked and re checked every single wire. For some reason we are not getting spark. The ecu functions properly. I think maybe the ICM has gone bad. Very soon the 72mm will be running down the track.

I would think on a solid tune and some good tires, the t28 setup should be capable of going quicker than 13s.

its a big t-28 from FP with a stage 2 RRE head i cant run slicks cause of the big brake kit, im hoping for low 13's maybe high 12's on DR's (ive got a few thousand passes on the strip under my belt in diff. cars)

Could you possibly run FD rx7 wheels and slicks with a 20mm spacer? Thats what the evo guys do....or 2g guys with the evo brembo swap. That's my future plan and i don't see why it wouldn't work for you.

A lot of companies are making slicks for bigger wheels? I'm assuming you have to run at least a 16" wheel? Or 17"? You can find plenty of slicks for a 16" wheel. If I were on a 17", I would pick up a set of the Hoosier drag radials that the Evo guys have been using. I had a set a while back...very soft compound with good sidewalls. It's more like a slick with two small grooves cut into it than a "drag radial".

mmm i would like to keep it at 17" (i have 2 sets of 17" already) but FD wheel's might work with a spacer though and i could run a proper slick (just my weekend toy) ..gotta make up my mind i guess.

im gonna run a baseline with the 225-45-17 falken 615's and just feather it though 2nd

I hate to beg, LOL but some of you guys are know are serious about FWD racing, and i need to get rid of these parts cause i'm disabled and cant' work (can't get hired if i try and don't get a government check cause i don't want to be a mooch on society)

anyway

from the links listed above this is my bottom dollar

1500 shipped on TRE stage 2 2g FWD trans with quaife lsd (lifetime warranty on quaife) 15k miles, never beat on, shifts like butter at 8500 and up to 8800 highest i've ever shifted, never been launched on the slicks as out track shut down years before i got the trans, trans also never fully WOT flat shifted, did some half lift shifts to play around maybe a dozen time, but this is a great piece i know some one can use 1500 shipped bottom dollar and this started as a new trans not a rebuild soi paid a tad over 3700 for it (comes with fairly new good condition axles for both sides, no clicking or nothing)

Centerline rims with slicks, tubes, valve stems, tires (old tires though, probably need at least one new one) also has centerline lug nuts and spaceers.. Iwill even toss in the calipers i used to run these4 for those wiht big brakes so you cna jsut swap calipers when doing the rims at the track if your brakes are too big for 15" wheels

fidanza aluminum flywheel with fairly new friction surface for 6 bolt engine FWD trans 100 bucks

But the trans and slicks and i'll eat the shipping on the slicks and toss in the flywheel for 50 bucks, more you but the better the deals, please help a brother out!!! I gotta pay bills i got behind on becaus eof on forseen costs of the swap (got the swap by trading stuff i had, but frozen calieprs, bad bearings, u-jopints and such, put me in the red on pricing of the swap)

plus i need a better center diff for the AWD trans bad so i don't blow this one and end up walking LOL

PM please with offers, questions, needing pics etc

me too...i would love the slicks with wheels and the flywheel, but i'm selling all my stuff due to a family issue that just came up. beehive springs, rods, heads, all kinds of stuff I'm selling now to get money. sad, but that's life.

And to add the rims are centerline legend series telstar wheels, i paid 269 each for them because i wanted customback spacing i had to pay a little more on top of that (minimal but like 50 bnucks) plus tires, tubes, stems and lug nuts, this would cost about 800 bucks to buy new, the same rims to this day are between 216 and still 269 each where i've been looking on jegs and that's whitout any lugs, spacers, or anything

I'm also including the calipers with them that i used in case some one has big brakes that won't fit a 15" wheel, that way thay can swap everything over at the track, gravity bleed the calipers a minute and be racing

Hell the tubes and stems in them are almost 100 bucks, lug nuts are another 25, spacers are minimal but slicks are 175 a piece or so, and like i said it needs one replaced becayuse i was on an olpen diff when i was running them

if i'm not mistaken they also fit mustang 5 lug cars, i know they fit a 65 mustang because i've put them on one before not sure if the newere lug spacing is different though

FWD guru's any guess what i would run (1/4)with my car at 18psi (fp-bt28) from the seats back it is stripped,
GAB's set to 8 in the rear 2 in the front (225-45-17 615's)

im gonna launch pretty easy and feather tll i hook up (top of 2nd/3rd) it pulls hard i would butt dyno 260 to the wheels..haha

would i hit high 13's with out a hard launch? (i dont wanna break shit)

Hey Guys just checking in. 2g Eclipse hx40 best time so far 11.0@ 136 with a 26" drag radial.

I think you can launch as hard as you can. You'll spin before you break. If you feather it till 3rd I don't think you'll be running 13s.

ya man no offense. Im on stock axles and a rebuilt transmission, I try to leave as hard as it can and haven't broken anything yet in over a year and probably 70 passes at the track.

good to hear i just got some bfg DR ( i know they arent the best but i got um for free off my bro) when it stops raining ill hit up the track-

nice time

It's sad when you go to the track and there are two 2gb GS-T's running one which is basically stock and the other has full bolt ons and a evo3 16g and they run identical times all night. :(

Sadly one of them blew there trans on there last pass of the night.

EDIT: identical times of mid to high 14's.

That's because people don't setup their suspension and don't work on anything for traction. Also, they normally just keep launching at 4k rpm on street tires. With the added power of the 16g, it just means you get a worse 60' time and more mph than the 14b guy. I went 13.8 on a completely stock setup with exception to 150lb of weight reduction, a mbc at 14psi and slicks. Everything else was bone stock...on a slipping stock clutch at 160k miles.

couldn't have said it better myself.

people need to stop drag racing their fwds. If they are not going to propertly set them up. its not awd where you can just show up and expect it to go fast.

Buy slicks at least!

:ohdamn:

I would agree...at least slicks. You could buy just some rear AGX shocks and set them to "insane stiffness" to keep it from squatting to help out a lot more. Otherwise, expect to run 14s in a full bolt on big 16g car.

New personal best for me! I went from a 14.1 @ 113 to a 13.1 @ 110 with the addition of Hoosier DOT drag radials. You can read more here and see the time slip data and the video: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/dsm-build-journals/418713-9-eclipse-n-t-turbo-fwd-street-drag-autox.html#post152785687. Stock unported 14b, FWD, full interior (even the jack).

Tires were 225/50R16 Hoosier DOT drag radials at 18 psi. 60' was only a 2.20 with a slight bog so I know there is more. ZERO tire spin!
