"this is the 210 hp engine.. not the 195"

hmm...
he's definatly confused 195 6bolt > 210 7 bolt... i bet if he advertised that it actually is a 6bolt, he'd sell it in a heartbeat

actually the 2g 210hp engines are a lot harder to find right now.. but he doesnt really know anything at all about dsms.. he wanted to sell me a "really big turbo that will probably fit my car" for about 800$ WTF but he said that the engine was a 96 gst and would fit my car with no problem and it would be a direct swap.. but every picture in the ad tells a different story..

I am not sure.

Looks like a 14B on there... Yeah - has a aftermarket J-pipe and not the stock right?
Also has a 1G Intake manifold - which I'd like to point out looks rather new...

That hump in the right exhaust manifold runner is from a 2G manifold (Thats a BIG "I THINK")

The engine how ever did come out of a 2G. It has a 2G engine mount on it. So maybe it was a 1G swaped into a 2G by someone. The valve cover is also the same thing as mine, a 1990 valve cover.

I think its a 1G motor that came out of a 2G. :)

Not sure about the exhaust manifold.

hmmm.... well as long as it'll work.. plus the 1g intake mani is better anyways... and so is the 14b.. im either going to get screwed or get a good deal.. not sure if i want to do it though.. thanks everyone for their input.. so if i swapped that engine.. a e316g would be a direct swap then right?

Or maybe its a 2g motor with an 1g intake manifold that intake manifold looks pretty clean for that engine... and a 14b off the 1g motor he got the intake manifold from....makes sense...

I really hope your not considering buying this thing. First of all the guy obviously does not know what he is talking about so for all you know it could be completly messed up on the inside or something.

Also I would like to point out all of the rust. The wastegate is even rusted. If I were you I would not take the chance and buy from a person who knows that they are talking about. And I doubt that that engine has only 34891 miles on it seeing as how its from a 1g.

If thats the case, how do you explain the 1g cas? If it was a 2g engine, it would make more sense to use the 2g parts than to use the 1g parts.

I agree with WhiteTsiAwd. It dosn't sound like you have actually gone to look at the car and test drive it. I wouldn't feel comfortable in buying a car without doing both of these. On top of that, the guy your talking with about the car dosn't seem to completely know what is going on with his car.

Its just not worth the risk.

Well... I pulled the turbo off of the car I had bought, it seems to me its a mystery turbo, the cold side is labeled with "SUBI" and on the hot side pressed on it is a mitsubishi symbol with serial numbers... All help identifying this would be greatly appreicated: The kid said it was a 20g, but im not sure..

edit: I just noticed there's what looks to be a "TRF" on the snail as well towards the right side

Actually, That is a mitsubishi compressor housing also. If you look, You can see those two pieces(which look like a waste gate would bolt on to, Like a 14b/16g wastegate style) were welded on. They were spaced like that, And it just so happen to leave those 4 letters. Look close, You can see the some of the other letter before the s. mitSUBIshi.

:)

I guess you misunderstood what I was trying to say. I didn't mean that it was a tdo5h compressor cover, I meant that those two parts for the wastegate were put on there it looks, Like they were put over where it said mitsubishi. I was using the 14b/16g comment so you understood what things I meant. If you took a shot of the turbo a bit zoomed out, That would be alot better. It is probably a 20g like you said.

I wouldn't buy it, if that's what you're thinking of doing.

The compressor housing looks like it was "modified" for an internal wastegate setup. The poor idiot who welded those bosses on seems to be a special boy indeed.

Thats a stock turbo off a 88-92 Dodge/Chrystler

TEO4H specs:
Compressor housing A/R small
Exhaust housing A/R smaller
Compressor inducer 38 mm
Compressor exducer 53 mm
Exhaust turbine diameter 51 mm

Smaller than a 14b... something comparable to a 13G.

I believe you'll need to get a t3 flanged exhaust manifold in order to bolt that up.

I Believe it is a 13g turbo found on the 1g A/T cars or a 3000GT

A 13g is a TDO4.. hes got a TEO4. The 13g flows a bit better, but the TE04 will have a faster spoolup.

After searching a bit more, Im pretty sure you can just bolt it up to the stock manifold, forget what I said about the t3.
