OH MY GOD your incompetence is giving me a headache. Did you not read a word I said in that thread before I dumped it into the Graveyard for your lack of searching? We need WHEEL SPECS or PHOTOS OF THE WHEELS.

Taking a photo of the outside of a turbo can't help us identify what's inside....might as well take a photo of the outside of your engine and ask what brand and size pistons you have.

Dude I dont know what your issue is.

All I can say is that I posted my post in the newb section because I thought that was what I was supposed to do.

There's so many freaking guidelines Its hard for me to comprehend them, all why trying to resolve the issues that I have. Didn't mean to sound rude but seriously man I didn't know what to measure. I asked and you dumped my thread to the graveyard.

Everything comes back around brother. Thanks again guys. I'm still lost.

And apparently you cannot read, If you re read what I posted I asked politely if I should take out the turbo and measure the wheels etc....

so i bought a used turbo off the forums that i was told was an hx35. it was being sold by someone who bought a car to part out, so he may not have known 100%.

the only # on the turbo is on the chra. the compressor cover was ground down and polished. also has a bep t3 hotside.

deff needs a rebuild, so i took it apart. went to search around for hx35 rebuild kits, but none of the internals looked right. did some more searching and found the proper internals in a kit for and h1c?

so i measured the wheels with a micrometer.... granted the wheels rubbed on the housings( housings still good )

what i gather is the turbine is 70mm inducer, 60mm exducer

compressor is 56mm inducer and 83mm exducer.

acording to these #s which i will double check, its an hx35, but with h1c internals????

help make me understand!

here are some photos:

Definitely a WH1C. No HX35 has a v-band holding the compressor cover on.

Of the possible H1C's to buy, this one is the best. You did well as long as you didn't overpay....figure the turbine housing is $220 new by itself.

People who don't follow simple rules/requests.

You're expected to search first, THEN post a new thread if you can't find the information or an existing thread to post in that is of a similar topic to what you're looking for.

We have guidelines and we're strict with them because if we weren't the site would be complete chaos. There are far more members than active Moderators.

I'm still lost.
Here....I'll make it as easy as I possibly can.

Step 1 - remove your intake pipe.
Step 2 - take photos of the compressor wheel.
Step 3 - post said photos in THIS thread...do NOT start a new one....and we'll do our best to guess what your compressor wheel is.

OR

Step 1 - remove the turbo.
Step 2 - remove the housings from the turbo.
Step 3 - measure the inducer and exducer from each wheel.
Step 4 - post said measurements in this thread....do NOT start a new one...and we'll do our best to guess what compressor and turbine wheel your turbo has.

What is so difficult to comprehend about that?

Definitely post photos regardless because if your wheels have contacted the housings in any way due to excessive shaft play, you may need to shop for a new turbo. That massive amount of oil coming out of the coupler at the compressor cover has me a little paranoid- that's definitely more than what would be considered "normal". ;)

Thank you for the quick reply jus.
But a couple more questions as this is my first holset.

Why is this the best?
Buy a rebuild kit for h1c and use hx35 comp and turbine wheels?

And I got it for $180 shipped as is, granted it needs a rebuild, but still a steal I think.

Why is this the best?
It's the only H1C with the MWE groove actually cut into the housing.

You can't use a HX compressor on a H1 turbo...it will rub the cover because the compressor seal collars are different widths. The turbines are interchangeable, however.

Yuh dun well.

I was told this is a old school fp green that has been clipped. It's tagged with fp all over. Just want to see if there's anything I'm missing.

It's got FP on the intake side as well, it just was too blurry in the pic.

I'm not sure what his timing was, all I know was it was a built 2L 6 bolt with hks 272 cams running 1050 injectors and a 255 walbro. He also showed link showed 44.9lbs/min at 22 psi. He has this thing rebuilt by turbo lab so they may have used a different wheel? I'll find out I guess.

That seems on the money...just not sure how that translated into 422whp at less boost (18psi) unless it was an airflow-based HP estimate from Link.

Unlikely.

422 at 18psi was on a mustang dyno, which I understand is a lower reading one? His injectors were maxed out 100.4% when he was at 44.9lbs/min.

Highest-lowest-reading dyno FTW! LOL

Still had to be some magic in the tune for that turbo making that airflow at that boost level to translate into 422whp. ;)
