And how would the wheel without taking apart anything with the turbo? or is that the only route to go?....and like i said earlier...it was sold as "Big 16G" and somehow got into confusions with other turbos...hahaha..if i have to take apart the turbo or anything like that, I'm just not going to for I'm pretty sure now it is what it is....

Thats exactly what i'm saying. You need to take the hotside housing off to measure the wheel. If you're absolutely sure its a b16g, then cool. I've heard many stories of people getting ripped off when the thought they bought a b16g, and got a s16g.

just a quick hint : an easy way to see if its a evo 3 16g or not is by the exhaust housing... the flange to the manifold is not a square, its a bit wavy i guess you can say heres... a pic of a evo 3 16g

I purchased what was supposed to be a big 16g and I had doubts about what it was. It was recommended to me that I call FP and they could tell me for sure without removing the compressor cover to measure the wheel.

So I did and the guy asked for the numbers off of the compressor housing and said yup you have a small 16g. He didnt want the tdo5h he wanted the other numbers that are on the little thing that looks like a plate.

Give them a call they can verify your worries for sure.

Good luck and just hope you didnt get screwed like I did.

cool i will, thankssssss

Where on the turbo does it say the model? How can i tell a big 16g from a 14b?

Look at the fins on the compressor side. The 16g will have a sort of "double" looking fin. There's also a website that has pics of all of the mitsubishi turbos. I don't know it off the top of my head though, sorry.

guys give me your opnion on what turbo this is. Its garret and has apr60 on the top of it. Everyone give me your .02 :thumb:

This turbo was "supposivly" taken off a 95 Talon, but I know that's not true. Anyone know what turbo this is from and have any specs of it? Thanks. The inlet is 2".

That does not look like a T-25. It doesn't have the 90 degree elbow on for the outlet. Also the O2 housing looks very different.

i don't think it's off a 2g eclipse.

I don't know what it came off of, but it was not a standerd T-25 off ANY DSM. The compressor housing has 2 boost sources and the actuator has 2 pressure sources. That thing looks like it might have come off of some sort of dual setup.

Just know it is not a DSM T-25. That is all.

Definately not a T-25.

Just as a guess ill say TT RX-7. They have tons of vacuume lines all over the place and that has a crap load of boost source nipples.

2nd guess would be an old volvo T-3 turbo.

Am I right?

Hmm, another note, Its from Mopar. I just noticed that the box it was given to me has a Mopar part number. I'll give them a call tomorrow and try to find out.

I found this on the net. It shows more about the internals. If you are thinking about using it, please do not. It is an inferior turbo. Probly to even the DSM stock T-25. For the price they are probly asking for it you can find a used 14b and make good power.

umm guys i take the cake for it though i said it was a t-25 garret turbo but i was not sure what car it came out of
