Would that be the individual who didn't read the rules?

If you like a short stay, please continue.

heh, well if anyone can %100 sure tell what it is, it would help, sorry guess it would have been better off me takin pic of inlet.....again i didtn know...but i will try until then these are what i got to work with, thanks again

sorry if somone told you that was an EVO III they all look a little similar but the EVO III has a dead ringer for an exhaust housing that gives it away. That is either a 14b or a 16G. get pics of the compressor inlet for me.

Eric

maybe this might help, first pic is T-25 wheel rest are EVO III 16G.

If you are wondering, the pics above are what we are asking for. Get a pic of the COMPRESSOR wheel, the one in the shinny silver housing.

Well the TDO5H is plain to see, but......

A small, big, and evo all look the same on the compressor side. The wheels are just a different size. The only way to tell if it is an EVOIII or S/B is the exhaust housing, since the Evo is designed different. And without taking it apart, you can not figure out if it is a Big or a Small.

That is a 16, either big or small. Either one is going to go for about the same price, since NOONE is positive what they have.

bad pics i was told...try again!!!

What does the writing say.

Guys if you are going to say what turbo it is then state why....

It looks like that is a single fin design (fins equally spaced) with only 6 fins. I can tell you that if this is the case it is not a 14b, 16g, 20g, 18g, etc.

If it has double fins then it is not a 14b or a 18g...it might be a 16...

That also looks really really small. Anybody knwo the fin count on a 13g or T25?

In all seriousness I can't even tell if that is a mitsu hot side or not. Are you sure this turbo will even fit to a DSM manifold?

You may have something like a 9b off a 3si.

If that is the case it does appear to be one of the 16g style turbos. Those individuals are probably correct.

Definatly a 16g turbo. But, the only way you can tell if it is a small 16g or big 16g is to measure the actual compressor wheel. The reason I said it was a 16g :

A. Looks exactly like mine, But much much filthier.
B. It has a tdo5h cover with the compressor wheel that the 16g's have.

ok well it was bought as "Big 16g" and then was somehow carried over as a Evo16g when i had it checked out,,,so prolly a Big16g...? and is there any way I can clean this thing?

ok well i guess this thread is officially over......i'll start anothe rone on TURBO CLEANING hhahaha...... THANKS FOR EVERYONE'S ADVICE!!!!!!!!!!

did you actually MEASURE the wheel to determine it was a b16g?

Ok, I'm having the same problem, by not knowing what my turbo is. I bought my 92 Eclipse GSX a little while ago and was told it had a J-Spec motor swap. I don't know if the turbo was swapped to. I know the housing has TD05H on it. If its double finned does that make it a 16G? If so what would make it a 14B? I believe its probably one of these 2, even though I may be wrong. Thanks

The easy way to tell between them is that the 14b has equally spaced fins and the 16g has them in pairs like the pics on the first page of this thread.

And how would the wheel without taking apart anything with the turbo? or is that the only route to go?....and like i said earlier...it was sold as "Big 16G" and somehow got into confusions with other turbos...hahaha..if i have to take apart the turbo or anything like that, I'm just not going to for I'm pretty sure now it is what it is....
