Wired the AEM UEGO to ECMLink for logging. Adjusted the settings, but now I see why people with ECMLink have hated the AEM UEGO's for years. Just don't know if I can trust the logged values.

But, at least I did it. And when/if I swap widebands in the future, I can just take the wire from the back of the UEGO and attach it to the new wideband and not have to pull the ECU or etc. Good stuff.

Also drove it some more. Just because I can. :D

I am starting to think you guys are a bad influence on me. I read lots of info on here, tons of older threads as well and see all sorts of things you guys are doing or have done to your cars. Yall have given me so many ideas and tips for what I need to do. So instead of being done with my car I am still buying more parts and getting in deeper. Today I ordered cam gears and a clear cover for when I get it back together.

Don't say that.. I ordered a UEGO as well because the Innovate MTXL, whilst good, is old and the LSU4.2 sensors are $100 anyway even if I get the Honda spec ones. I might just run both for a little while, just to compare

You can trust the logged values if you can find a few examples where they line up side by side on both ends of the spectrum. Just make the WBO2 text really large and hold up the laptop near the gauge. Force ecu into open loop and adjust your AFR at idle until you're lean, then check it against the logged value. Readjust to rich, and check it again.
If they're aligned, you're good for what it's logging.

Now, what it's detecting, that's another story.

Yeah I didn’t do that. Hopefully I can wake up at a decent time tomorrow to do that. I need to log RawLinWideband like ecmlink says to do and adjust like you said.

Gonna be easy since the MAP sensor I ordered came without a pigtail and the seller is honestly useless.

Took it out for some gas and data logging. Decided to wrap the map sensor in some DEI cool tape that’s all they had in stock and I had rewards I had to use. I noticed it gets kind of hot and I don’t want it to split on me

I really need to change the compressor housing o-ring it’s leaking bad and roll my rear fenders then get an alignment

I had been struggling for a month with my turbo oil drain leaking after my recent rebuild. I tried a new hose, different seals, bolts, and gasket. Finally it seems a fresh oil pan fixed the drip.

I’ve been wondering if they would last longer with a filter in the line like some of the HKS/Greddy products used to run.

I have not really got that far yet with mine. Usually the first thing I do to any car is the sound system. I replaced the head unit in mine when I first got it bc the factory unit barely worked, sort of, sometimes. LOL I did replace the front door speakers with some decent kickers I believe as they were shot. After my engine build is complete I will replace the rest of the speakers and run them through a small amp and add a small powered sub in the back.

I found that the combo of OEM 2g drain tube, an AO customs silicone precut gasket and Evo 8 sealing washers and ARP thread sealant on the bolt threads results in a perfectly dry return line at the top and bottom.

Today I continue waiting for my new AO Customs silicone oil pan gasket because spoiler alert, if you use RTV with it, it'll leak AND you'll never be able to remove it from the gasket, preventing multiple uses.

Going to redo my old crimped connectors with my new crimping tool to try and sort out some electrical issues I have been getting as of late.

Over the winter I made some neoprene gaskets for the clips around the rear quarter windows. Today I finally got everything together and put it all back together. (Got more adhesive on the car than I did on myself, it's a win. :D )

Happy to make more of these gaskets if anyone needs them. $5 for 10 pieces.

Filled the ole girl up with some E85 and hit the mountain twisties with the local subaru club over the weekend. We had an absolute blast and the car ran/handled amazingly well. I couldn't believe how well it tore through corners. Ended up almost 400 miles on the day. Feels good to rack up the miles!

In classic DSM fashion, the wipers quit on me in the rain storm...😂😂😂 But if I were to guess, the plastic bushing took a dump where it meets the wiper arm/motor.

🤙🤘

1 week into my 5 speed swap. Today I just removed my brake pedal, TCU, and cut out the insulation where the clutch pedal goes. Also ordered some smaller install bits that I had no idea would still be available from Mitsubishi. Easy day, not trying to rush anything. I need "me" time too.

Sending my driveshaft tail section off to a local shop to be converted to 1310 series U-joints. I broke 2 oem u-joints last year and at the price they go for these days, it makes much more sense.

The rain did the job for you. Should have just shipped me the car free of charge. ;3

Love it. Keep it forever.

Got the skeetbelts working in the Talon.

Might not seem like a big deal but they haven’t worked since AMS built the car 18 years ago and had race seats in it.

Also after that put the ecu back in the OEM location with some stainless hardware and put the kick panel on. Now the interior looks 100% factory. Huge milestone here.

To celebrate I took the wife and daughter for their first cruise in it down the street. Love it. Now I’m looking up insurance policies and gonna register/tag it soon. Time to drive this bird after it’s been sitting for 10+ years.

While I was waiting 1/2 an hour for windows to do updates so I could drain the fuel tank, I put a piece of plastic over the hood, and built up some expanding spray foam on my hood. I think I can extend the hood bump by a couple inches, and build a hot air extraction duct into the added section.

Picked up a proper AWD RR caliper for the Talon, to replace the FWD caliper that's in that corner now. Got the "stuck" piston out with a little leverage. Had to grind an extraction socket first, worth the sacrifice.

The piston is a mite corroded at the top. I've seen advice on a motorcycle forum to get piston corrosion cleaned up and replated. Is that possible for these?

Took my ecu and few other parts out of our shootout car and put them back into my street car. Has not ran in over half a year as 5 days before shootout we found out we had bad ecu so robbed mine to toss in that car to make shootout. Days before shootout we had hole harness open and a mess. We did the scramble LOL.
