If I am replacing springs and struts, what else will I be taking off that should/could be upgraded or refreshed? Bushings, etc?

New bearing on the way. JNZ is always helpful with questions and issues.

Replaced the rod bolts with ARP hardware. Everything torqued down. Took the new oil pump apart to install the stub shaft on the small gear for the balance shaft removal. The balance shaft bearings were a pita to get out. Mainly the front one...

Over the weekend, after getting the correct piston rings finally, after gapping them and checking rod bearing clearances i proceeded to torque everything down. I also stripped a rod bolt nut. So I ordered ARP rod bolts. Will have to take it to a...

Revised what I was actually doing. Most of this is new to me. I had not used this compressor before and was trying to see how to get the pistons in with it. Had not checked the gaps to see if any material needed filing off yet.I am constantly...

I was trying to figure out the piston ring compressor today. Could not get the rings compressed enough to get the piston into the cylinder. Over an hour later I looked at the box again and saw they were 86mm. I ordered 85......

Stock struts and aftermarket lowering springs. Tein S tech springs are a very mild drop compared to others.

No need. 17s. 18 is too little sidewall for comfort. I speak from having 18x8.5 evox bbs with 245s currentlyMy last on 1g were 17x..7? 225s on them. I'd love to go to a 17x8 with a 235 instead but that's about $2k after all is said and done...

My 1G has 17's for comparison. Plenty of sidewall for a comfortable ride and I think it looks good. The coilovers ruins every bit of the actual ride quality but that's the game you play with them. Tempted to put the stock struts and Tein...

I'm trying to decide between 16" and 17" aftermarket rims. I will be putting on struts/shocks that should lower the car 1-2 inches. Can some of you guys post pics of your rims this size. I want the fenderwells to not have too much empty space...

I have been buying parts for over a year. I had bought a XTD stage 4 with with 2300lb pressure plate and a OEM throw out bearing. I want a ACT 2600. Not sure if I am buying the ACT at this time or not. This entire endeavor has costs 3x what I...

So as I have posted in other threads, I decided to rebuild the engine before adding go fast parts. Engine is stripped down, I put the main bearings in yesterday, waiting on a few odds and ends that I did not have before checking bearing...

I honed my cylinders and then power washed the block throughly. I also cleaned the journals in the crank. Or the ones that doesn't have the balls in them anyways.
