I have the Fusion ZRI's, pretty good tires, not too expensive either. I think they may be discontinued though, but I may be wrong.

You might want to look into the BFG G FORCE that's what i have on my car and they really stick to the ground on them turns..
I looked into the g-Force KDWs, they are so badass but I think thats a little overkill for my DD. Maybe the Sports but I would have to run a smaller sidewall and I don't want to go much smaller

That will NOT get him out of the ticket. It's his fault for not having his speedometer recalibrated when going with larger tires in the first place.
It's his fault for speeding, but.... It potentially changes the charge from reckless driving, to driving with defective equipment.
No it doesn't. There isn't one tire wheel dealer that will install an over or under sized tire without mentioning wheel speed. Most times they recalibrate it right there or you have to sign a waiver. Your friend is out of luck, his own fault for not maintaining his vehicle in accordance with federal speed standards. Its odometer fraud.
Heres an example of odometer fraud.

Honda
Gainesville, FL: (Feb-20-07) A class action lawsuit filed against Honda accused it of having odometers that were racking up miles too fast. Honda asserted that the odometers on some 6 million Hondas affected by the suit were accurate to within 3.75% on the high side. Honda has agreed to a class action settlement and has agreed to lengthen the warranty mileage of affected vehicles by 5% and pay lease-mileage penalties incurred by owners of Honda or Acura between 2001 and 2006. Honda has suffered a $6 million setback due to the settlement. [INDEPENDENT FLORIDA ALLIGATOR: HONDA ODOMETER FRAUD]
I "know someone" who got a speeding ticket of 80mph in a 55(reckless driving). "He's" looking for the tallest tire that will fit his 2g to get "his" speedometer callibrated to help with "his" court case. Anyone know what the tallest tire is that will fit?
Thanks
