OK i want to hear from people that are running this clutch how many miles are on it, what is your set up (turbo, injectors, built motor), i think I'm going to be buying this clutch but i just want to make sure it will be a good clutch for my set up....

B16g mhi, evo viii injectors evo ix pump , fmic, 2.5-3" straight pipe, stock internals, 3xxx miles on the clutch, mine doesnt disengage fully, and i habe the extended rod and ss clutch line.

I have no problems with mine. In fact, after at least 50 launches i reinstalled mine while i had the car apart because the disk was still in great condition. My profile is current with other mods.

Sounds like you got a good clutch. I wouldnt waste the money act 2600 is nice and i run one in one of my cars but my zoom set up does better.

Just the pressure plate is act, i've had it for a while. I just use the xtd disks, because they are so cheap, and dont pop springs, or shear off the input shaft. I usually break a trans before they wear out.

BUY IT...I have a stage 3 XTD in my 91 gst. it is mostly stock with cold air intake and pushing 18 psi on stock turbo. I just installed it and put about 300 miles on it so far. That thing grips so fast you will be spinning wheels if you engage it too fast. It is worth the money vs the 300-500 for the other brands. Buy it is worth it.

I'm running the XTD Stage 4 kit but with the sprung 6 puck. Only been like 100 miles but it's been good so far.

I am purchasing this clutch (the stage 4 unsprung 6 puck). May I please just state this simple fact: if you can't drive...you are, in most cases, the people saying it is junk and isn't worth 200 whole dollars...oh my...200 for a clutch that holds 500hp? Count me in, guys. If you want a name, buy it. But a clutch kit that has been proven for years now to work for those who drive with a little sense and skill...seriously, for 200 dollars? Ball on a budget!...just drive with a little sense. No shame in trying something different than the ACT crowd ROFL

i have a buddy who had a xtd staged 3 clutch and it exploded into 1000 little peices and my friend babies his dsm like you wouldnt believe, he changes out every fluid in the car every 1000km and barely ever launches his car. i saay xtd are alright clutches for their price but at least if a act or exeddy clutch breaks the company is usually willing to deal and you a new clutch under the proper situations.

and when his clutch exploded it was cause 3 of the springs popped out.

i have also had a friend who used it on his fully built 91 tsi and it worked great and he rat bags his car really good LOL so buyer be ware i guess LOL

That is why i only vouch for the stage 4 unsprung. All sprung puck disks pop springs, bad design. I have also seen more failed act's than anything.

ACT is one of the worst companies to deal with customer service wise for their clutches. We stripped out the splines in a disc that was new and they hassled the hell out of us and finally said they would rehub it free, after initially saying $70.

Fidanza is pretty good with customer service because we had a disc that was bent and they said send it in...sure enough it was bent and they sent a free replacement (even though we bent it because the splines in the hub weren't machined properly)

XTD DOES stand behind their clutches...there are a few guys on here that had problems and XTD replaced the clutches for them for free. They come with a 12 month warranty. So why are you making the suggestion ACT and Exedy are the only ones that will warranty their clutches? My experience with ACT leaves me with the "NEVER AGAIN" impression

Stage 4 unsprung is about the only one I would suggest to anyone. ACT clutches explode just as fast SOMETIMES, if not faster in some cases

Not true at all. Check out other designs . Clutch.net sprung discs will not spit out a spring. I use the Clutch.net Kevlar disc with an ACT p.plate. Bulletproof. Grips like a pissed off gorilla. Tres...

I have an xtd stage1 on my 93 gsx and it has worked great so far after 5000miles. Im stock minus a 16g and 190lph walbro fuel pump.

My XTD Stage 4 solid 6-puck is the best clutch I've had. I did 16 passes down the 1/8 last year once, and 17 last Saturday, plus driving the car every day and it's been great. This last trip to the drag strip I was launching at 5000+ RPMs, and the clutch still worked great.

what is your set up and how many miles are on that clutch???
