Before you pull the trigger I suggest you check out the SB clutch site and or give them a call........very informative !!!!!! They actually make the clutch in Elkhart Ind. You can talk to the guy who builds it. Not as well known but probably a better product.

LOL, Found out yesterday I had to bleed my clutch and adjust. Now it shifts perfect, and is very smooth transition as any other clutch.

It will chatter until you use it a few times. I've been on the same XTD Stage 2 pressure plate for about 3 years now, I've just been having trouble with the discs. They always seem to break the springs in the sprung center. So I recently got an unsprung ACT 6 puck disc and I've been loving it so far. Engagement is real touchy if you're not use to a 6 puck to begin with. With the solid disc, you have to be pretty close to matching up the rpm's on each shift.

My point being, if you're serious at all about driving/having fun, go with the unsprung disc. That way you won't have to drop your trans every year to replace a clutch disc like I was...

i have one in my h22 civic and i love it! never used one on my dsm before BUT the guys on hondatech seem to think its a hit or miss. i seem to think its installation errors on their part....

i have a xtd stage 4 unsprung with a 16g and i LOVE the clutch kit, works flawlessly and im running e316g with full exhaust system at 15 psi only right now. It grips very well. Rough engagement over stock during break in period but now that its broken in drives very very well. there are lots of threads on here about xtd stage 4 clutches and they are quite good for there money, Only the stage 4 though, the stage 1-3 is a stock flywheel and the stage 4 is the upgraded flywheel.

Where the hell do you find the stage 4 xtd clutch at? I went on ebay and a few other sites and all I could find was a stage 3 that has a 6 puck sprung disc but I would rather have the unsprung. Can someone please post a link or tell me where they are for sale at or if they don't offer stage 4 anymore?

Wow.....I mean wow LOL. I even went to the same sellers ebay store and did not see a stage 4 kit. Guess it's just way too late. I'm going to bed LOL. Thanks btw, hopefully can get it ordered soon.

Of those stage 4 owners, how is your pp and flywheels surface holding up? The stage 4 uses sintered iron in its disc - I've always understood that to mean the disc is too abrasive for DD use and you will wear your flywheel and pp surface too quickly.

Looking at getting the XTD stage 4, but was wondering what the thoughts are on the Flywheels you guys are mating these clutches to. What are the pros and cons, brand etc!! I'm most likely gonna buy this clutch in the next few weeks and would like to get a flywheel at the same time.

Thanks
