You drive a dsm, Not a silvia

He's not trying to act like he has a silvia, just enjoys the features/stylings of another car in addition to his own. It's not like he's putting on a silvia body kit. I've noticed that you post quite often in this forum saying the exact same thing over and over:

you have a dsm, not -supra -skyline -silvia -etc

Give it a rest...if he likes to customize, who are you to say different? That input is pointless...

it looks bad ass

the headlights look nasty on a 1g because they clash with the lines. On the other hand if you put em on a 2g they will look good and unique because 2gs are more organic

OMG--

IF YOU LIKE THE DARN THINGS GOOD AND IF NOT DONT LOOK!!!!
4000.00 is about right
if you want to know why it is so expensive you would have to "to do it right" buy 2 fenders a hood and also the lights. cut the front of the fenders fiting to the light and weld onto the stock fenders same with hood fit lights fit to bumper hopefully fiberglass much easier to work with and then mold and prime block and prime block and prime sweat cus block prime etc...etc..... if you like it that much Ill do it for you for an amazing 3999.99...no bs... just gotta bring it to texas, r and r paint and performance !!!! need a ###???:thumb:

the cool part is that its either a :dsm: , :talon: , or a :laser: and it has nissan lights-lights you will otherwise never see on a car other than a nissan

Well, it's all about customization. He's not trying to act like it's another car, he's just making it the way he wants it to look. Maybe he likes his DSM, and the only thing he doesn't like is the headlights, instead of dealing with 1 thing he doesn't like to get the rest, why not just make the car 100% to his taste?

Haven't you ever heard someone talk about a car and say something like, "Man, I really like it that car, it looks bad ass except for the headlights, i'd get one if it wasn't for the headlights". By insulting people who want to customize their cars, even those "ricers" who put blah blah blah on there car, you're setting yourself up for ignorance. Should we all drive around with the exact same cars? Should everyone in the world look, and act exactly the same way? I get real tired of seeing everyone on this forum bashing eachother for doing things in different ways. Bashing on someone for doing a "headlight conversion" or putting on a certain "body kit" is no different than telling anyone who doesn't drive a DSM that they're retarded or stupid for buying anything other than a DSM. You're basically saying that "your way of thinking, and your tastes are stupid, my opinions reign supreme and everyone should like what I like." That sounds really ignorant.

Personally, I like my 2G dsm, and the only exterior work I've done is a 95-96 to 97-99 conversion. I'm not going to bash on anyone else for putting on a blitz kit, or slapping an aluminum wing on their car, or even putting on vinyl graphics or doing conversions. It's not my car, it's theirs, and why should they drive around something that I like just to make me happy? That would be like someone who really wants a 300zx or RX-7, buying a DSM because someone else thinks they look better. I know i'm probably rambling on, but I just get really sick and tired of going on the forums to see the same thing day in and day out. We're all forgetting the essence of what "import tuning" is all about. It's about making your car the way you want it to be, and how much it makes you happy, not how much it makes someone else happy. :dsm: :thumb:

I don't understand why some of you need to discourage someones dream of making their car unique. Some DSM owner want it to go fast, while some want them to look different, and some do a little of both. The car is just a reflection of the owner, it is unique just like they are. it's cool to say that you wouldn't do that to your DSM but don't discourage him, let him do what he wants to his car and do what you want to yours. I like the show looking cars, and I also like to go fast but that's me. I say go for whatever makes your car reflect on yourself and be happy with it.

yup yup, gatta b yourself.

im also thinking of the conversion but it cost quite a penny.
i checked at a shop over here and they said it would run from 4k to 4600.
maybe later on the road i will do it:thumb:
