Does anyone know if anyone has done the RX-7 style headlight conversion? (Not the pop-ups, how they sit down in the body, like a 300zx)


Edit : I like the headlight idea, but would have to see it without a horrid hood and bumper.

There was a guy on DSMtalk working on that for about two years. Nothing ever came of it.



And that headlight bastardization is horrid.

Aint doing it for me. 1G's aren't very good for show cars. Why can't people just leave them clean?

At a glance, I thought it was a 3G with shaved "door ridges." I actually thought it looked OK. Not something I'd do if I had a 1st gen. It was different tho.

Silvia headlights might look good on a 1gb but I would have to see it on a clean unmodded body to tell.

Looks like the work involved was clean but the outcome in my opinion is not so great. Leave 1Gs stock (on the outside) for the love of god.

I know I'm going out on a limb here but I like it. The car would look a lot better and cleaner without the body kit. I used to have a 3g and like the head lights on that car. The double hump on the hood works for me too. Functional. NO. Makes the car more symetrical. YES. I think that car without the body kit and lowered would look good. **Puts on flame suit!** I agree most 1gs don't look good with body mods, but I'd have so say this is one of the more tasteful ones..... if you ignore the body kit. Hood and lights. Body kit. :thumbdown

that was my complaint, the headlights are ok, the humps i could deal with. but that kit has to go and the car needs to be lowered.

I think the only thing I would change about the 1g body style is to make the ass end wider to make it look more agressive as most of its emphasis is on the front end.

horrible, just horrible.

im with most others on here, you get a 1g and you leave it stock body wise, drop it with some rims and leave it at that, clean and smooth.
