Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I was just looking through this because these kits are back on sale. I was wondering if any of you guys ran into problems with the coolant overflow tank, I sent them a PM and they said it would have to be relocated, but after seeing some of the pics on this thread, it looks like you all kept it in the same exact spot. I have a 95, so mine has the stupid sensor on the bottom that I really don't want to mess with. I already have an annoying CEL for my rear o2 sensor.

You can d/c it and eliminate that cel for that sensor via dsmlink if you have or will have it, if not, just loop it around and fasten it with zip ties in a way where it wouldn't dangle and be out of the way.

Alright, thanks guys. For the o2 sensor CEL, I read that you can use a spark plug spacer to pull the sensor out of the direct exhaust stream. I know I have one of those around here somewhere, I just can't find it.

i looked through this entire thread once before but i dont remember if anyone did a tech article on installing this exact kit. I have purchased it and now have it in hand. If people want me to i will do the best i can at recording exactly how the install goes. Maybe take a video of the whole thing and put it in time lapse so that everyone can see exact steps to take to put it on. Lemme know what you all think.

I ended up not using any of that hardware. JUst use the long crossmember bracket at the top of the core and it's plenty to keep the assembly in its place.

I finally bought this kit, will be arriving next week.
I did not get it from PR, i bought it from ebay off of etd motors (cxracing).
It has the same piping kit as the PR unit minus the u pipe that goes around the driver side, but i will get those 2 pipes welded.
I will post pics of my install and the kit when i get it.

Ok so i bought the cxracing fmic kit for $199 on ebay ($260 with shipping ), and i must say, i am VERY pleased with what i discovered.
EVERY single piece in the kit is the same thing as punishment offers in theirs, and cxracing even fixed the 2 piece driver side pipe to the 1 piece u-pipe like PR's, so no welding necessary anymore for me !
I will post more pics later when i get home and of the install as well on tuesday.

xs-power.com has a full kit, short route for $300 shipped. it's got a bigger core and is a nicer kit than some of the more expensive kits out there. i just dont see the point in buying an intercooler kit for more than $400-$500. it's not going to cool the air any more efficiently than a cheap one.

We have dyno proven gains from our kit compared to other fmic kits, not all are treated equal.

If you're gonna go for an xs power kit I recommend you take a look at our VRSF 2g kit, similar design, better performing core & our kit includes all the missing items the XS power doesn't include & has all the necessary install mods already taken care of (pre-slotted brackets, pipes are cut to the correct lengths without sacrificing beads, flanges are machines flat ect...).

I had the vrsf intercooler kit on my previous gst but i decided to do something different this time around and do the fog lights and all.
Not bad for $260 shipped.
