What is average spool up on these turbos? I've noticed quite a few instances where someones "inexpensive" 16g would certainly seem to make the power...but they also spooled at ~3800rpm.
 
Haha, that's my purchse on ebay. I'm gtidriver01. I agree about the girl though. That kinda makes it seem like any other generic ebay seller.

I'v already been bashed on for buying it. It's what I want though. Something inexpensive, that will out perform a 14b. I may have bought something bigger/better, but I have a stock Mitsu felt headgasket. it's new, but still felt. Also I have an evo payment that comes around evey month too. haha

Are there rebuild kits available for this turbo?

I was looking at your ebay ad also, and intially thought somebody was ripping off your name since you do have a good reputation.

One other thing, although the picture of the chick is hot and got my attention. I'v never ridden in any other cars with a 16g (besides my evo, haha) so I don't have anything to compare it too. This is also my 1st aftermarket turbo for my dsm.

It does spool slower then a 14b. not a HUGE amount, but DEFFINATELY noticeable.
This thing does pack a real punch though. I'v had to use oct booster to get the boost above 13 psi due to knock. My head is milled so my compression is a little higher. I didn't port the wastegate port, and it DOES CREEP to about 18-19 lbs.
I have it about 20 psi right now(22 in 4th) It really moves. I need to watch the gauge closer, but I do't think boost was dropping at 22 psi at all.

I have some logs too, but they are on my other computer so I'll have to log on from thatone to post them.
My injector duty cycle went from about a peak of about 50% to almost 70%!!!! I have PTE 780s at stock fuel pressure.
Also my mas air reading went from a MAX of 830 (hz) to about 1100 (hz) My chip has 2X Karmen so you double those number for the correct readings.


I really feel it has much more boost, but I'm happy for now where it's at. I might turn it up to 21 or so in 3rd.
