I just put my kit on yesterday but while trying to put the bumper the big U pipe was rubbing on the passanger side. It's where the hole next to the fog light. Any one know if this is a common mistake? I don't have pics right now but I could get some if needed.

Does anyone have any pics of the kit with the GM MAF setup? Id like to see how creative some of you guys got with it. Side note, I must say that PR has AMAZING customer service! I ordered this kit from their Ebay store and they accidentally sent me black pipes. They were out of the silver ones at the time so they told me I could use the black ones and they would send me replacements for free. anything Ive ordered from them was at my door in a few days. Great service for sure

Does the type s knockoff that comes with the kit sound like the real type s? Im thinking about putting an ngr diaphragm in mine and Im wondering if it will be worth it or not.

Yes the BOV included sounds just like the the type S. Also this BOV has the NGR diaphragm, so no need to switch.

Hmm. Mine has the cheap ebay diaphragm like on the right. I opened it up. Yours has the red one on the left?

Mine came with the NGR diaphragm also. I just bought mine last month.

I can just buy a diaphragm of ngr's website and just swap it in right and everything will work right?

Here is a pick of my new downward facing TB Elbow and the GM MAF setup with my PR FMIC kit. It's a really nice setup for those of us not looking to spend a great deal of money on our cars, yet benefit from the performance increase of a FMIC. I've also gotten compliments on my very smooth MAFRaw datalogs in Link V3 from Thomas Dorris. He couldn't believe how clean it was reading... must say a lot about this kit and their potential. Money well spent and can't say enough good things about P.R., they have done a lot in the DSM community, they should be rewarded for that. I'm glad this thread is still going!

I'm not so sure. I've heard that the internals of the ebay one and the NGR are different enough that the diaphragms are not interchangeable.

Where did you get that TB elbow? or did you make it yourself.

Really? I thought the bovs were basically identical besides the diaphragm.

Heres pics of mine.

I actually got it from another DSM guy for $25. He had an extra one laying around from a different car, so he sold it to me. It's actually not that great of a piece... it was a chop and slice deal, except the weld is really nice at the flange. The MAF coupler side is jagged and unfinished, which I'll have to re-cut and file down to keep it from wearing on my coupler. Soon to happen, just don't have the time right now.

If I had the ability to weld, I would have taken my TB Elbow from the PR kit and cut/angle/re-weld and polished it myself. That price was a bit on the high side for me, only because it doesn't take that long to make it, or that much skill, just don't have the welder or tools. I'm hoping to get a welder at some point in the near future, so that I can start doing more mods that require welding, but for now, the cost was worth it.
