I have been referred to a shop in tampa area to a place called purebred racing or pbr I cant seem to find anything on this place online but I have talked to a few people who have told me William is really good at tuning and is well known my only issue is I cant seen to find a single review or anything about this place could some one shine some light on this before I make a horrible choice..... 1gen galant

Never heard of them, consider who you got the advice from though, do they have a vested interest in you using him?

I think you are talking about this shop. There are reviews in their Facebook page. Should talk to them in person, just shouldn't trust only online reviews too much.

Yeah I seen that and I understand I shouldnt trust online reviews. But I cant afford to drive all over the united states trying to find a guy to tune remotely as do to my job I move alot so a tuner I have to go to everytime would be really hard. I know that's the best and safest way but sometimes it's just not possible to show in person. Also the reviews online are very few I didnt know if hes started a new page or n
If you're having to rely on a shop to do anything to your DSM then you're already in a world of trouble unless you just won the lottery.

I get that. But I'm not a tuner I'm a builder I hate software i rather have a good old carb. So again I'm not looking to be criticized I'm just looking for some one to confirm this guy is legit or not or if you cant then lead me to a guy that can. Also looking to have my rotary tuned with link4g so I'll be looking for a tuner for that also so a little direction would be nice. I live in oregon and theres only one or 2 shops that will tune and I absolutely dont trust one of them as my buddy put 20k into a Subaru had them dyno it and tune it a week later had a melt down from being lean burnt a hole in the pistons. So that's why I'm asking for a little assistance.

I got the first advice from a good buddy that has used him but in person so I started searching and found a few things but not alot so I did more digging and found videos and a few others that have said they have worked with him in person. But no where can I find anything more then what's on facebook. So I turned to dsm pages on facebook. With absolutely no response from anyone. No i just want a reputable shop todo my tuning, money really isnt a issue ( no I'm not a lottery winner ) remote tuning would be nice for the smaller shit I add. But as stated before no one here tunes either ecu and the one guy I found that did I have heard horror stories so I was looking else where and got referred to this guy.

Sorry, I'm a little confused. Are you open to someone remote Tuning your car or do you have to take it to a shop? Because we have some awesome remote tuners in the community. I'm actually gonna get a remote tune later this month.

So are you in Florida or Oregon?
And the Galant and rotary car are with you?

Time to go out of your comfort zone. Turbos and carbs don't go well together at all. Even the N/A muscle car guys are mostly switching to EFI nowadays.

I mean no disrespect, but sometimes parts fail and it's easier to blame the tuner than take responsibility for your car. Maybe it was the tune, or maybe it was a failed fuel system component, or maybe it was the operator beating on it, or maybe it was a little of more than one. Anyhow 20k certainly is a lot to put into any Subaru.

Facebook sucks. I wish it would hurry up and go the way of AIM and myspace. There are some there that know a thing or two, but there's so much noise and confusion any real info gets lost.

Have you considered English Racing? It's about 4 hours drive from you.

The rx7 with link4g will need a dyno first to get a good base then should be able to be remote tuned from there. The 1g galant needs a remote tuned as it's already got a solid base line but still having a few issues.

No I havent was gonna call them on monday. But if this guy isnt as he says i want to expose him as i know have been emailed and informed of a possible scam. Yeah i take full blame for any thing broke

Both are with me the 1g galant and and the 93 rx7. I'm in oregon but will travel any where for a good tuner that is well known. Plus would be a good vacation. So I figure wth he does remote tuning has a dyno and I've always wanted to visit Florida so I was like short vacation f*** yeah done deal. Then started to google and started to find some fishy info and a possible scam so i decided to ask around and see if i could find some one different and if this guy is a scam i can expose him at the same time. As of now it sounds like his company is a big scam. So if you have info on him or his shop or can tell me where to go for what I'm looking for I'm also ok with going to 2 different tuners if that's what it takes to get both tuned. Sorry I suck at explaining shit online

Well for the Galant, I would contact someone like Ricky of Rixracing since he's very well known for remote Tuning and awesome reviews all around. Great guy to talk with as well.
As far as Dyno, there's Tedspec here in California who I've heard is awesome as well. And it's way closer than Florida. The coast is awesome to enjoy if you're trying to vacation as well LOL. It's just pricey here in Cali depending on where you go obviously.

I’m really confused now. You want to move your car/cars across the entire continent, literally, to tune them at a no-name shop? One of the best shops in world in English Racing is right next door and is what I would suggest.

If you read the other replies I said I was gonna take a vacation at the same time so I thought wth..... and only one needs to be on a dyno the other one can be remote tuned it already has a base tune that's a fairly good tune but still having some issues we cant seen to figure out the other car has no base tune and will need a few dyno runs. Well that's why i was asking, they portray them selves as this huge company. Look at they're facebook page. Thank you I appreciate the recommendation I'm new to the rotary scene and have no clue what I'm really doing when it comes to rotary so I want some one else todo it. I'm not aware of any shops or anything so that's why I turned here I mean I can google it and find 1000s of shops but how many are well known and credible.
