Mine is cut with an angle at the sides. It takes time, time, time and more time to get it near looking right.

Here is without the cover on...

nice nice.. How did you do it? Just trace and cut. What did you cut it with?

do you still have the stock sidemount hooked up? looks like it

Nice, very nicely done. Clean cut bumpers, mainly on 1gs, usually are very hard to make.

Also, what is that on the left side? Oil cooler or something else?

Nice job, alot better than some of the hack jobs out there, looks very clean. :thumb: I might actually use this as a pattern for my bumper when I get my front mount. :talon:

Yes that is the stock smic still hanging over there. Its not hooked up or anything.

I made a template out of cardboard and then traced it onto the bumper. I used a jigsaw with a fine toothed blade for the cutting and then smoothed it out as much as possible with a file. It really wasnt to bad. The hardest part was making sure everything was straight and even.

I don't like it. The lines don't flow well with everthing else. How much improvement is there? It's not like you can measure the actual airflow improvement, if there is any at all. I would say that the improvement is negligible, at most.

Nice man! I am not too sure about the ovals on the sides but you did, hands down, the cleanest cuts I have ever seen. :thumb: Looks super clean! Makes me wish I would have tried harder when cutting mine. Looks like it came like that from the factory. All in all very nice job. :thumb:

Very clean. I don't think you could have paid anybody to make a nicer cut. Is that the stock sidemount hanging out in that first pic?

It's not always just about more airflow to the FMIC. You can also get more air around the FMIC.
