Hello fellow DSMers, so I am in the process of CNCing some billet aluminum BISS screws for our OEM throttle bodies as I was tired of the plastic cracking causing boost leaks around the o-ring as well as stripping the head and one heck of a time removing them. So I am posting this to gauge interest, I would like to know who would possibly be interested in billet BISS screws so you would never have to fuss with one again? Of course I will be testing these on my personal car and a few buddies cars to ensure all is good before mass producing these.

I would become a supporting vendor first before you get interest! This way is not supported by the rules, sorry, good luck

I'm taking it will use the same o ring and just a billet BISS screw.
Yes. It would be exactly the same but billet, although I was tossing around the idea of making the head a 7mm hex (largest deep socket that will fit) instead of the flat/Phillips design? Still unsure about that as we don't need any real amount of torque on the screw, just thought it kind of cool.

I would be interested so dont get me wrong and not trying to be that dooch who is picking on you LOL im just mentioning the rules and whats allowed and the way to go about interest, just watching everyones back and helping it go the right path to success

A 1/4" drive 7mm deep fits beautifully! But I also like the allen head idea as well :hmm:
You know how hose clamps have an 8mm hex and the phillips or standard head on the inside? Well do a 7mm hex and an allen key on the inside. You're not torquing this thing down just turning it. If you need another tester for the car to check for boost leaks when installed I'd be happy to help :sneaky:

Or you could just look at any 1g, early galant, 3000gt or any early 90's Mitsubishi and grab the steel BISS screws out there. I bet jnztuning or even extremepsi Would have them in stock new. There already I a factory part out there that will work as you need.

Would it fit with the cap at the top???
This part

Yes. It will be the same length as the OEM plastic one, so the cap will also install normally. As for finding a steel one from "any" 1G, Galant or 3000GT, I've yet to do so. If you have a link to where jnz or extremepsi have those for sale that would be great.

I am a junkyard builder. So no idea on where to get it. Someone can likely figure out the part number. I have four of these things out in the garage. I can't say I have never not seen one there. Every time I go and need one they are there.
