Really neat thread!

I noticed some talk about clearances and oil pressure.
Just wanted to provide some reference
for my forged rotating assembly with squirters, my
PTW clearance is 0.003-0.004"
Rods and Mains to crank journals clearance is 0.002"
Rod big end to crank side clearance is 0.004-.006"
I use diesel 10w-40
oil pressures at 750rpms is 10-16 psi
but I also did this to the block and to the tear drop were head meets block

My goal was to use the thicker oil to increase a lill pressure at the crank surfaces - to hopefully aid against excess flow (starvation)
Aid in PTW lubrication and also reduce the overall high pressures our engines are known for
I'm also not using any of the mods like the kiggly head pressure thing
Compared to the FSM i dont think im as loose as I originally thought.

Not an update, just an old pic.
Last night I enjoyed watching Le Sserafim 'Hot' and then I saw your pic in post #475 and I thought, wow, it's kind of similar!
My thoughts at the time were: "dimly lit, slightly grainy, burning hot".
Today the full English lyrics are up and I see more confluence: "A dangerous drive, don't be afraid, no doubts at all, we burn to shine. In the scars we share, the engine's stained in red".
Anyway, I like it.

Thanks! I plan on dropping off the block this summer, I’ll go with whatever bearing clearances the machine shop recommends after measuring everything, I wish I would’ve deleted the oil squirters when this engine went together last time LOL,

Hey guys! The car is completely f@ck$d J/K LOL, I just bought a J1H with a FrontlineFab cover and BS Fab mustache bar and axles with cups from Performance Partout:hellyeah:, can’t wait to get that installed, so I’ll be soon listing my B1H 4 bolt diff AND my J1A 3 bolt non lsd diff if anyone’s interested, I also recently got my glow shift trans temp gauge, I get my assorted color 18awg wire spools tomorrow to extend my wideband and temp gauge harnesses, so that’s fun, and soon I’ll finally get my own 1 ton engine hoist so I can yank the motor out and tear it down, stay safe and stay tuned😎

Yesterday I actually re ran the solenoid extended harness with 18 awg wire
IMG_2459.jpeg
That green wire is the signal wire for my glow shift trans temp gauge that was also wired in yesterday
IMG_2457.jpeg
Now I’m in the process of getting all the wires zip tied and tucked up and finally putting all the trim pieces back in which have been off since the pedal swap LOL

Got the relays re wired/done today.

I couldn’t help but want to sit in the car for a minute and take it in LOL, I’ve had the center console and trim pieces ripped apart since the pedal assembly swap, it feels so good to see it coming together!

Yesterday my performance partout order showed up!

IMG_2480.jpeg
So today I started wire wheeling/cleaning the diff and wire wheeled the majority of the white paint off the mustache bar, tomorrow I’ll primer them both, use my engine low gloss black on the diff and a flat black on the mustache bar :thumb:

Hey guys! Today I installed my AC Delco rear sway bar end links, similar to the purchase of the aftermarket front lower control arms they definitely weren’t identical to oem, but for a 35 year old replacement I think they’ll do LOL

Next up will be the Volk MetalCraft Upper Adjustable Control Arms and then that big beautiful JIH LOL
