^^^nice, i cant wait, im actually gonna pull the block from the engine bay on sunday,, everything its pretty much apart, i just need to take the block out and swap in my new crank, then throw the wiseco's, eagle rods, bearings and all the goodies...then if i get it runnin by the 17th of april ill have it dyno, cause my brothers shop is hosting a dyno day, so i wanna see what it does LOL. but ill make a thread soon of my progress with the car.

also, im gonna tune it on the safc at 20psi and aim for 11.1 afr or so, so should i invest on a pocket logger, or just wait till i get dsmlink in about a month later from when i get her runnin? im not gonna be raggin the car out or anything but i do wanna tune it and dyno it at 20 psi...then chill till i get dsmlink
 
^^^ i know LOL, my brother has a srt4 that put down 575whp at 28psi, and that shit tq steers like a mofo LOL..on the 17th he is goin for 650whp on pump and meth fuuuuuuu
 
Add another fan to FWD. Torque steer never gets old.

I have had drop in lsd's in my last 2 FWD cars and they help tremendously. on street tires it wouldn't torque steer but when i started making enough power to spin through 3rd gear rolling about 80-90 then it would spin one tire but on slicks it worked awesome.

You talking about a lsd insert or a legit lsd?

Drop in/insert ! I honestly don't know how you could explode one unless you were just spinning one wheel constantly getting the unit hot or something, it only gets hot or friction when one tire is slipping or turning a curve. I ran my first one for 2 years no problems.

I got a quaife and I still spin.
But honestly of you have Tongans down the tranny to put one in might as well put the real deAl.
 
Yeah, the LSD's are rather expensive. I'm pretty excited to have two FWD DSMs now. My Laser is now down long term for a full build to go after some records and the 92 Eclipse will be my day-to-day fun toy once I make sure she's running good!
 
I get that most people can't spend the 1000+$ that's why it took 3 years for me to get one! Honestly I think that most my problems originate from the low rpm boost range of the e316g. If I put in a 20g I'm sure I'd spin less when it counts! N e one have one for sale???
 
Wheel hop can make anything go BOOM.



Some of us don't have 900-2000 for a true lsd, so under 200 works for most and gets the job done.

Kar King was selling one a couple years ago for a good price (under 900 as I recall). Recently another manufacture has came out with a batch of FWD LSD's. I have one of the original Kar King ones left over if you want one, PM me.
 
Im hopefully getting my car back to the track as soon as i get my head/cams done going to try and make a decent 11sec. pass with the help of some e-85......

April 17th Orlando, War of the Imports. I will be there throwin down some rubber with my car. Look for the red and black 2g with OTP on the side.

Im going to make the switch to E85 soon. Its cheaper for me to drive the 100miles round trip and buy 55 gallons. Works itself out to be about 4.80/gallon VS. $80/5 gallons of C16. Im going to put some Moran racing injectors and Aromotive pump, 3 gallon cell up front. Also I burn up about 5 gallons of fuel per 6-8 passes :nono: So I suspect about 10 gallons of E85 every 6-8 or every track day. Or hell I might just go alky, and fill the block completely next year and throw in some 11:1 pistons. :hellyeah:

I also picked up an automatic trans that will go in the car next season, along with my EGT 72mm turbo. Looking for 8s next year... I'll sell you my trans after this season if you want it..

Ive been on tuners for a long time, I hardly post though. Recently found this thread and decided to share some of my brain.
 
Warren (antilag_200) and I have been working on his car for the last 7-8 years. This was the first year on an auto with a stall that was way too tight. We have recently installed a looser converter and sured up the nitrous to get some boost off the line.

Well it looks like im switching setups yet again so im hoping to have it finished in the next couple of weeks and hopefuly get some shake down runs in!

New setup:

PTE6165
Built SIM Head
272 Cams
ARP Headstuds
1450 BlueMax FIC Injectors


Looking to be in the mid-low 11sec. range we will see how it goes!
 
What do you guys think? I have head studs 264 hks cams titanium springs and retainers and a metal HG cometic. Think my setup could handle a 50 trim sized turbo and hopefully get 450whp in pump and not blow my engine?
 
Should be fine granted you have the supporting mods and as long as the tune is on point!
